Sorry for this generic post with no graphics or anything... I haven't had a chance to watch the season 3 premiere of Stargirl yet.

But we are looking forward to "Frenemies" and what will happen.

It might be a minute before I read this thread again.

Bur if it is like previous seasons, which I felt were fairly family friendly , and something my 11 year old loves watching with me...I am looking forward to it.

Lance Ausfresser on Facebook has dropped some hints... as a fan of Infinity Inc (at least the Early days), I look forward to what we might get

Fun episode. It seems like forever since last season so I was a little worried I wouldn't remember enough of where we left off, but the show did a good job of updating us.

And, yes, I guessed who the murder victim would be, but am still intrigued to find out whodunnit.

Liked this episode, and the whole theme of second chances they are apparently going with.

There was a lot of set-up in this one. There's something going on with Shade's powers. Pretty sure we'll meet the Gambler's daughter. Rick is trying and so far failing to resurrect Solomon Grundy. Cindy is trying to be a better person, but struggling with old habits and ways of thinking. There's a conflict within the JSA about direction. Artemis wants to join and is not at all subtle about it. Jakeem ... was there for a moment. So was Mike.
I liked how the episode showed how worried Courtney was the whole time about losing the staff to Sylvester, but ultimately choosing to share the staff and hero-duties with him.

There was certainly a lot going on. Looking forward to this season, which I have to admit, totally snuck up on me. I was not aware the new season was already starting.

    Enjoyed Episode 2: "The Suspects."

I confess: For the first time, I didn't recognize the titles on the movie theater's marquee. I assume they were deep cuts into DC lore, but they flew over my head.

I finally got round to watching it. Courtney really needs a new pair of jeans. :)

Enjoyed episode 2, as well. A Sylvester-heavy episode, and I think Joel McHale did a good job showing the hero's frustrations, his survivor's guilt and lack of any life outside of his superhero identity. Looking forward to how Sylvester's arc progresses.
Shade is also obviously going through something, though it's not clear yet what is going on with him. But I like the character, as well as Jonathan Cake's protrayal of him, so I'm glad he gets something to do this season and won't be sidelined (though, thinking about it, the immediate future might very well sideline him, since he's left Blue Valley to deal with his issue).
Mike and Jakeem did get something to do, after barely being in the season opener. Should be fun to see them trying to prove themselves and the hijinks ensuing from their investigation.
And Sportsmaster and Tigress are hiding something they're afraid of being revealed.

Oh, and we learned that Jay Garrick was among the fallen JSA members. Shame, I would have hoped he'd be revealed to only have semi-retired and coming back for the occasional guest appearance. Would have given us a potential future for John Wesley Shipp as Flash now that The Flash is ending.
Then again, this is superheroes, and death rarely is permanent in this genre. I mean, we already have Sylvester and McNider back among the living.

Glad they gave some depth to his behaviour as I was feeling that Starman was just and utter dick and not worthy of Pat's time with him but The Shade talking about his funeral must have really been a knife twist.

You used to have friends who would mail you US TV on VHS tapes.

And they were the wrong type of VHS, so you had to go on a special mission to find a another friend with a usable NTSC video player...

    Where did those people go?

I think Starman should go back to school. A community college would be good.

Episode three is keeping up the trend of really good episodes. Sylvester is really going through things, and when he confronted the Crocks, it felt like he was about to turn into a villainous vigilante, had Pat not showed up to stop him. But he does show remorse and remindeyd himself to stick to the rules later on. Not that this helps the Crocks, or all those innocent bystanders who went through a traumatizing event, or all the property damage Sylvester himself caused. But then, I don't really expect the show to adress any of that.

By the way, does Blue Valley have actual law inforcement? I mean, there have to be, there was a police cordon at the Gambler's trailer. But somehow, they never show up, even when there's a situation like in the shop. But, seriously, do people even know about the new JSA? I mean, S.T.R.I.P.E. is kinda hard to miss.

But, honestly, I think that, as well as all those issues I mentioned earlier, won't really be adressed, because the show has a hell of a lot of characters with their own arcs to follow. We barely see all the heroes in each episode (I think Jakeem was missing entirely this week), they probably just don't have the time to show these side elements.

Oh, also, little nod to the themes of this season, the movie posters at the theater are for Nathaniel Dusk, a noir-ish PI character DC published in the 80s and referrenced in Geoff John's Doomsday Clock.

It is funny how this show has no concern from anyone for property damage whether it's grocery stores or high schools. I suppose it's hardly unique but it sticks out with the small town setting. I guess they were a little bothered when Courtney trashed the kitchen.

I'm pretty disappointed that we didn't see further consequences for Starman as well. As for the titular character, this show has really become an ensemble--Courtney may have top billing but the other characters have really stepped forward.
