It was fun. Masnlany and Ruffalo were good together (they're good actors, it makes sense!) Only bit I kind of had an issue with was that the final scene where Titania showed up felt really rushed and choppily edited. But I guess they just wanted to get to the point where Jen's Hulk identity is revealed fast.

Peter Quill's great-grandma at two and a half minutes...

Good God, could Steve Rogers be Peter Quill's great grandfather?

ETA: I just realized that I hadn't read the whole article above as there were so many ads interspersed throughout that I thought I had read the whole thing. Anyway, I didn't realize when I made this post that the Peter Quill's great-grandma scenario was mentioned in the article above.

    Interesting theory.

Although I think it would be grandmother, not great-grandmother.

    An A+ is technically a 4.0

    Or a 100, depending.

That was a great start to the series.
Tatiana Maslany was great, as was expected, and the stuff with Jen and Bruce was a lot of fun. Her and Mark Ruffalo have great chemistry. Their big fight was pretty fun, only family members could have a brawl like that one minute, and then go back to joking around with each other the next.
The fourth wall breaking wasn't as much of a constant thing as I was expecting, but it worked well for where we got it. I was expecting her to be constantly making comments to the audience as stuff was happening, but I can see where doing it too much could get annoying after a while, and slow the momentum down.
The post credits scene was hilarious. I have to admit, I never actually expected to see an official MCU production actually address whether or not Capt. America ever fucked. Was this the closest the MCU has come to a character saying fuck?

I dipped my toes into reading some comments from the "opposition" and seen breaking the fourth wall is a sign of disrespect and unfaithfulness to the source material and 90+% of them are sure that she was shown to be stronger than Hulk. Good stuff...

We are definitely circling back to that at some point. If not in this series, then in a movie post-credit scene. It's no coincidence that it took Bruce until late that night to find Jen. I wonder if his efforts to keep Jen focused on training was also (in part) about dodging what that encounter was about.

And Mark Ruffalo responded to that...

Jennifer Walters walked so that Deadpool could run. :guffaw::evil:

Oh, I think it's likely that most of the people who review bomb material regard it that poorly, even if they don't test their opinions by actually watching the show. Those of us who give it a 10/10 after watching at least have the satisfaction of connecting with reality.

Sure, you can give it a 1/10 or 0/10 or whatever either before or after you watch it. I don't think anybody actually said lowest possible ratings aren't allowed. And it's on the hosting website that it's possible for John Q. Public to submit a rating before it's been released.

When it comes to production decisions, I don't believe any weight is given to this type of rating anyway. Even without review bombing, it's always been unscientific.

And more to the point, review bombing isn't going to marginalize She-Hulk. Dead on arrival, my ass. The first episode is a hit. If the show fails, it will only be because the remaining episodes mess it up. They're going to stream, and they'll stream to a big audience. It's kinda funny in a way that review bombing can't touch that.

Full disclosure: I've seen things I would give the lowest possible rating to. Example: Mayersberg's Nightfall (1988).

Really enjoyed that. Some of the She-Hulk CGI was still a bit dodgy but not enough to ruin my immersion. I knew Maslany would knock it out of the park and she did.

I was thinking we had gotten at least one fuck in one of the Netflix shows.

I thought the first episode of "She-Hulk: Attorney" was funny in a light way. It certainly ended on a funny note. But . . . I can't believe Tatiana Maslany had ended up starring in this project. I'm sorry, but I thought it was beneath her. Beneath her talents. Perhaps I'm jumping the gun. Perhaps the series will improve in later episodes. But this seemed like a weak way to start a comic book hero/heroine production.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I believe the MCU has been experiencing a slow death for half a decade . . . ever since "Civil War". At least for me. With the exception of at least three or four movies (certainly not the third and fourth "The Avengers" films) and two DisneyPlus productions, I haven't really liked anything from the franchise since Phase Three began.

P.S. I'm getting tired of the Captain America's ass jokes.

Why does everyone that doesn't like the direction Marvel has been taking think it's dying a slow death? Maybe it is but seems like might be some projection happening here.

Evans seems to be a generally good guy able to make fun of himself and the roles he plays. I also bust out laughing when i saw him in Free Guy in a short but hilarious cameo that's also Captain America related.

He also can be - the MCU powerboosted his career, he invested a decade of his life and left on very amicable terms once his contract was up.

As to She Hulk - really solid start to the show. I feld the origin and training was a bit rushed but at this point i'm also a bit bored by origin stories so it's good they got it out of the way now.
Mark Ruffallo still kills it in his role but Maslany keeps up very well and makes the role her own. The meat of the show is still to come and i'm looking forward to it.

I also loved the little details such as Jen getting into Banner's jeep, which was apparently designed for a Hulk and has to struggle to adjust the seat or when Hulk has enough being beaten by She Hulk and throws a boulder with supersonic speed into the sky ( let's hope he doesn't hit a plane).

First of all - who's to say if something is "beneath" anybody ( in any field of work)? Marvel movies have attracted Oscar Level actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley and others.

While most MCU productions won't receive acting Oscars ( not because the actors or the characters were lacking but because Marvel movies are entertainment and the Oscars do tend to look down on them) this doesn't mean they're bad movies.

While some Phase 4 movies did leave me cold ( Eternals, Dr. Strange 2) others were as good as the rest and most of the TV shows were really good ( Moon Knight should win a ton of Emmys in my opinion).

Watched it last night. It was awesome. Gave me a smile, considering what I've been through recently.

Oh at some point, somewhere or somehow, almost certainly. I just meant that I liked that *this show* may just breeze past it.
For the record; if it's a message for Bruce from Sakaar then it's probably a paternity suit . . . which I guess might mean he'd need his lawyer cousin's help down the line after all.
In Jessica Jones for sure. In fact . . . *runs a quick word search on a transcript site* . . . yup, every Marvel Netflix show save 'Defenders' & 'Iron Fist' (not surprising) seems to have had as least one "fuck". Not nearly as many as thought there would be though.
