Thanks for the recommendation! Knowing that you baselessly and prematurely hated it for irrational and sexist reasons made me even more convinced that it was going to be lighthearted, smart, enjoyable fun, and it was. 9/10.

I really enjoyed episode #1. I laughed loudly out loud several times, including at the end of the post credits scene.
One thing I appreciated was that Gao kept the story moving along at the perfect pace. Maslany is doing a great job so far. She-Hulk looks pretty good, and I expect that if they keep the character going, that will only improve, as it has for the Hulk. Ruffalo remains outstanding as well.

I enjoyed ep 1. I really liked the scenes with Jen and Bruce. They have great chemistry. And it was great seeing her origin story, seeing her train. Bruce name dropping Tony was bitter sweet because it kind of reminded me of Marvel's "good ol' days". I miss Tony and Steve. The 4th wall breaking is fun. The show looks to have some good comedy. If the show can give us a comedy legal show with some Marvel superhero stuff thrown in, I think that is a winning formula.
I did read in Variety that a lot of ep 1 was actually going to be in ep 8 according to the head writer but they moved it up because they felt fans would want to see Jen's origin story sooner. That was the right move. Leaving the origin story for ep 8 would have been a big mistake IMO.

I was big into her comics way back when and this first episode has that right tongue-in-cheek irreverence that I loved from the comics.

That was a breath of fresh air! I loved the chemistry between Jen and Bruce, with a lot of humour peppered throughout, so me and the hubby laughed a few times. The credits and the post-credit scene were all perfection. 
We've been looking forward to this since we heard Tatiana Maslany was attached as we also loved her in Orphan Black.

Thought it was pretty entertaining and Tatiana Maslany feels really natural, a few minutes in and it feels like Jen Walters has always been a part of the MCU. The chemistry between her and Ruffalo was really good which is a good thing since this was a two-hander for the first 30 minutes or so. Granted we're only one episode in but I like that she has Hulk powers but she isn't just Hulk in female form, she seems very distinct in character.
Ever since I first heard about it I thought it might be this way and turns out it was but the blood transfer feels weak. I think the original transfusion origin seems easier to buy. I know they explain the genetics and the device but it feels slapdash.
I thought it was weird how they placed the yoga scene with human Jen before establishing she reverts in her sleep and ultimately can control it. Also odd to have a hangover when you can't get more than a "buzz".
Didn't the trailers or clips show her call Bruce "Professor Hulk" before he said "Smart Hulk"?

That was so much damn fun...and funny. I loved the banter between Jen and Bruce, ranging from jovial antics to harsh truths, while they both learned from each other's experiences. I especially enjoyed seeing the contrasting of masculinity and femininity, how each react to rage, experience, conflict, learning, fighting style, among others.
As expected, Tatiana Maslany is an absolute delight as both Jen and She-Hulk, both of whom are distinctly different but still the same person at the end of the day.
I also really loved the Bill Bixby reference with the car accident and ripping off the car door (even if the context of the door ripping was different).
Even thought it wasn't necessary, I appreciated filling in the gaps about how Bruce was able to become Professor Hulk with Tony's help, while also developing a bit more of the Tony/Bruce relationship which I always regretted we didn't get more of. Plus we got an explanation for his appearance in Shang-Chi, even if that wasn't inherently needed.
I cannot wait to see what else this show will bring to Jen's story and for the greater MCU.

That was really good and only made better by Tat. She can seriously make any show better.

I don't remember ever hearing that. Which would be odd since Ruffalo has always played both so why not Maslany.
Maybe for motion captured stunts?
Although I’m a fan of the MCU, I’ve been slightly disappointed with most of the tv shows so far. TFATWS was the one I was most looking forward to but it suffered from reshoots during the pandemic. The first half of Wandavision was intriguing but the last few episodes were the usual CGI smackdowns. I liked Hawkeye and Loki a lot but couldn’t get into either Moon Knight or Ms Marvel, despite the charming casts.
Loving this first episode of She-Hulk, however. It’s really what I want from the concept - a sort of Ally McBeal with superheroics and the odd breach of the fourth wall. The comedy is working just fine for me and Tatiana is charming and likeable in the lead. Hopefully it maintains this quality.

So far so good. Solid chemistry. Witty script, Breezy pace. Legitimately funny without undermining the characters and turning them into cartoons. I am indeed entertained. More of this please!
I even like how the show just basically ignored that a Sakaaran ship just showed up out of nowhere. The alterations to the origin story make perfect sense too; a mob hit rather dictates the set-up and trajectory of the courtroom stuff, and the idea that Bruce would willingly inflict this condition on anyone, for any reason, seems anathema. Certainly not something he'd do lightly, and that just makes the story more about him than Jen. It's also a good call-back to the Norton movie where they made clear how dangerous Bruce's blood can be, even in small amounts.
It may be nothing (and note: I haven't read the run this is based on, so this may already be a thing for all I know) but I have a sneaky suspicion that Jen's supposed lack of an alter-ego during a hulk-out does indeed have an explanation, and that the key is the 4th wall breaking. Her other "self" is the audience.
