next time booker comes on dico he should be wearing a yellow jump suit like burnham had in season one lol . its the same story that picard, sisko and others learned captains cant be in a relationship with a crew member on his/her ship although it took kirk a lil longer to figure that one out

Huh? Picard was the only one who was in a relationship with a crewmember.

lol who didnt kirk have a relationship with...... as for the jump suit comment i know its a different time reference but he broke so many laws and ppl died and he gets community service cmon...not to mention the complete betrayal to discovery's crew.
i could have sworn i remembered sisko in the same situation but i could be mistaken on sisko relationship if so my bad the point is it just doesnt work its a hard place to be and it does affect the captains judgment as it would anyone facing choices that affect hundreds of lives.

Come on, what? Crime and punishment may look differently one would think.

As for Kirk, Kirk expressed appreciation for crew members, but his Starfleet dalliances were not with people in his command.

If they go more episodic / standard exploration, then what's the point of difference anymore?

And relegating Burnham from her present position as lead doesn't work either. It's not Discovery if they go that route.

I think the issues / flaws / features of Disco are baked in at this point. Overhauling them now when there's likely fewer episodes ahead than behind seems a little pointless.

I think there was a good idea somewhere in all this, but it required a deft creative hand.

I missed the more 32nd century exploration choice, I'd have picked that.

My other:

I don't mind the melodrama, just not so often right in the middle of a friggin' intense battle/mission. These are supposed to be folks with training, yes? Act like it in dire situations.

I don't know, but I think Season 3 final was a perfect way to end Discovery. Season 4 Discovery feel so un-Discovery. So I think they should just end Discovery and create another new series; whatever it is based on 32nd century, the continuation of Picard (25th century) or others. Make another new concept. If it is in 32nd century, Discovery casts can come as recurring char.

Please get rid of Burnham ... please!

Why? She's not the problem. My current problem with the series is that it's stuck in the future and the series' new style of writing that I haven't cared for since Season 3. I would love to see the ship back in the 23rd century. And I would like to see another edgy episodic arc, similar to Seasons 1 and 2.

More even storytelling with a consistent ensemble. Without all those needless 2-3 episode diversions that make the plot more convoluted.

If there is a god, there will be an explanation that Discovery was thrown not only into the distant future, but another universe entirely, thereby protecting the prime universe from its pollution.

I have yet to watch the fourth season. The show simply no longer holds my interest. They could have simply ended it after the third season and it would have been fine. Now they're talking about a fifth season? Why?

The numbers are showing people are watching it, the cast and crew enjoy making it, and it keeps subscriptions running.

TL:DR money talks.
