TOS -> TNG -> DS9 -> VOY
I wouldn't call TNG a spin-off of TOS because there was an 18 year gap between the two programs, and there were no characters from TOS who had a prominent role in TNG at the beginning, as McCoy has a cameo, and Spock and Scotty didn't appear until Seasons 5 and 6.TOS -> TNG -> DS9 -> VOY
Happy Days itself is a spin-off of Love American Style. Happy Days also beget Joanie Loves Chachi and Mork & Mindy (and animated spin-off). There was even a short-lived spin-off of Mork & Mindy titled Out of the Blue.
JoaquinSlowly had already mentioned Laverne & Shirley.Don't forget Laverne & Shirley.![]()

McCoy was on the first episode of TNG (as "The Admiral," bringing up Vulcans)I normally think of spinoffs as featuring a character from the parent series as part of its major cast. DS9 could be seen as a spinoff of TNG because of O'Brien, but I wouldn't call Voyager a spinoff of either.
And Zephram Cochrane was in the first episode of Enterprise, linking it to both the Next Generation and the original series.McCoy was on the first episode of TNG (as "The Admiral," bringing up Vulcans)
Picard was on the first episode of DS9
DS9 and crew were on the first episode of VOY
It's textbook.
She's been Pike's sounding board and La'an's mentor.

That's right!And Zephram Cochrane was in the first episode of Enterprise, linking it to both the Next Generation and the original series.
I agree.Technically speaking, SNW also keeps to this, because of Pike and Una's appearances on DSC...
All in the Family > Maude > Good Times
It's 2259, so a year or less laterI just had a thought: How much time has passed between DSC's Such Sweet Sorrow (pre-time jump) and the beginning of SNW? It's been a year or two, hasn't it?
All In The Family > Maude > Good Times > The Jeffersons > Checking In > Archie Bunker's Place > Gloria > 704 Hauser
That's pop culture referencing even I stand in awe of. Well done. (*Slow clap*)
