This series lives on stretching everything.
This is a very well produced and informative video and I think it should be posted in the "Should Trek be 'our' future or an alternate future" thread as proof that we should all be grateful that we are not currently living in the Star Trek timeline.

I really liked this show alot and The scene with Guinan and Q was good that she finally found found out Q'S secret and the fact Picard went back in time and things aren't going according to his plans. An Alison Pill is hitting it out of the park as a wanna be Borg Queen and how good she was adding Annie Weschings mannerism s to her character as the Queen.I'm glad we got to see Agnes stopped herself from harming Raffi and Seven. I did the like the story with the FbI agent wasn't a villian. I liked Brent Spiner as Adam Soong being ruthless and Cold when he acts like a god to Create Kore and the Super Soldiers. I wonder what Kore is going to do since Q gave her the cure to get away from Adam and what the fall out will be.And what plot Q wants in motion besides Agnes & Adam want to stop t he Europa mission. I can't wait to see how the last shows wrap up season 2 I give this show a 9.

Why the does Q want to stop Picard and create the bad timeline?
Plus, in 2063 the world is living in a post-nuclear apocalypse (according to FC).
Rios's storyline has just gotten dumb and pointless. I like how it started out but still don't get why he would bring the doctor and her son onto his ship. It doesn't even connect with the main storyline and feels like a waste.
I like how they acknowledged Raffi manipulating people. It was nice to see Elnor back in a flashback scene.
My favorite parts of this episode was the stuff with Jurrati, Picard, Guinan, Soong and Q. John De Lancie is doing a great job.

I'm glad you liked the episode. I wish I had a higher opinion of it myself because I really want to enjoy it. It wasn't bad but also definitely not good.
But I'm honestly glad you're finding more enjoyment in it than I am.
And then he just let walk out the door. All kind of pointless.
And TNG. As late as 2079 the Postatomic Horror had caused some corners of the planet to revert to medieval barbarism, and that was a full 16 years after First Contact.

Yeah, the fact that WW3 is coming soon kind of puts a damper on everything that is happening. It almost doesn't matter what happens because WW3 is a big reset.
Clearly the entire season could've easily been told in four parts. Basically, the first two episodes and the last two. Any of the (rare) necessary details that were in other episodes could've easily been added to those four.

Q’s conversation with Guinean. I’ve seen people talk about how it shows Q making these changes to somehow stop his death but my read on it was more him starting to worry what was happening when he realised he wasn’t going to move onto something else after death and almost trying to do one good thing before he goes, with that good thing being a ridiculously convoluted way to get Picard to face his demons. I need to rewatch and find the quote that made me think that but what was everyone else’s read on that scene and Q’s reasoning for all of this?

Here it is for anyone who wants to see it:
I've said this before but I'll say it again. They should go with multiple 3 parters. This lets them build up some serialization and increased depth of storytelling. Basically what ENT did in its final season. This approach doesn't force all their eggs into one basket for the big reveal at the end. Of course, they could have character arcs that last the entire season and longer. Just not the story arcs.
I also think the ST writers just are not up for a fully serialized season long story. We've seen that in both Discovery and Picard lately. I'm glad SNW is not going with serialization.
And I say that as some who LOVES serialized stories. That's my preferred style . . . when they're done well. But ST isn't doing them well and I'd rather get less serialization and (hopefully) better stories.
And I definitely agree that DS9 did serialization the best for Trek!
That really took me out of the story.

This was probably one out of many run-ins Agent Wells had with his supervisor for the same thing.
I worked at a government owned electric utility and we had a "positive discipline" procedure that allowed management to get rid of the non-management employees they didn't like. First offense is a documented sit down with your manager, second time is decision making leave for a day, the third time you got time off without pay, fourth time and you were gone.
