Not to mention you see the same black security guard here who detained Agnes in episode 5 in episode 6 and he didn’t bat an eye about her being released.

So many messages! So I'm "pausing" here at #200 for these:

It'd be even more awkward if Rios finds out Theresa is one of his ancestors.
That's been my guess since he met her. We'll see.

Ready Room confirms that was Alison singing.
THANK YOU! I'd been failing to find out. Very impressive! As was her #6 dress.

Credits:
* Dr. Agnes Jurati Benatar, never out of touch being a heartbreaker while belting it out, making promises in the dark like love was a battlefield, giving our heroes precious time, and never wanting to leave.
::applause!::

(Yes, I love Pat Benetar.)

The Queen? "Flash! A-a! Savior of the Universe!"
LMAO!!!!!! (I'm also a big Queen fan!)

More later!

Side note: just realised that pretty much in every episode we’ve been shown security forces doing an abysmal job.

Episode 1, with the Starfeet security on the Stargazer ignoring their captain’s order to stop firing (and still totally failing at incapacitating the queen);
Episode 2, confederation security being totally inept in having their president and an alien PoW kidnapped and then to stop a supposedly small and underpowered vessel to leave;
Episode 3, the security guy buying 7’s and raffi’s story on the tower and especially ICE doing a raid without blocking the back exit;
Episode 4, the ICE ward beating up Rios (sadly, this is the most realistic instance of the list);
Episode 5, the french policeman NOT reporting in and calling for backup before entering a cloaked spaceship (!!!). But also the ICE bus drivers opening up the prisoners area of the bus for no reason, ending up being beaten up by one of the prisoners.
And now the several deficiencies of the security people of this supposed high security gala.

Probably just a coincidence, but pretty amusing.
Worf is not amused.

again, he’s not an android.
And funnily enough, even if he were a bog-standard Soong-type android, he'd still have a pulse because (as Data explained to Bashir in Birthright, Pt. 1.) he'd have a fully functioning circulatory system responsible for pumping lubricants and microhydraulic fluid around in his body. Just like he'd breathe as a part of his cooling system.

I can buy that. He turned her in. She’s back so as far as he would know it got sorted out.

What I have a problem buying is the security people just put her in a chair behind them in the surveillance room - the crew’s plan depended on her being in that room when it would have been more likely they would just kick her out or call the police. Also she was right behind them so how could they not hear her talking to Picard. Also, the gas put them to sleep - are they just out for the rest of the night? No one else from security is going to go into that room all night? Those are some of the the dumber things to me.

Yeah but he would have checked in, noting there was no response and so he he would have gone back to see that they were unconscious

I suspect "truthchampion" is "Nitpicking Nerd" aka "Major Grin". His litany of nitpicks are very similar to the Nitpicking Nerd videos on youtube where he does 2-3 rant videos per episode, nitpicking everything in the show.
Doxxing other posters is a big no-no in these parts. Let's not do this again.

the racist textual diarhhea pump and his newfound dingleberry
Let's keep the focus on the shit-posting and not the posters.

I'm not clamouring for Picard to revert to being human but I do think RoboPicard was poor, contrived writing. When Soong mentioned the golem in Season One I thought that it was a way to bring Data back which, whilst still fairly contrived I could understand the desire to undo Nemesis and bring back a major character (Trek also has form with Spock after all). I also wondered, given the focus on his health, if they were going to give him a big send off just to bring him back to life but figured that would be too ridiculous (only it wasn't). I think what didn't help was that Data got such a moving death scene but it was a bit odd for Data to insist on dying because it's an essential part of being human whilst having Picard cheat death via this convenient golem Soong had lying around.

I agree that it seems kinda unlike Trek to not focus on the golem consequences and certain “cheat death” aspects - it’s tempting to think of this the way mid/late TNG would probably have, with lots of questions about morals and souls and whatnot. But this isn’t TNG, and there’s literally nothing Jean-Luc can do about having been given this second chance in a new body… except embrace it. The fact that his new body doesn’t seem too different from his human body probably helps a lot in this - it doesn’t really feel any different now for him. It would be a different issue for him altogether if he had been given another body. And time HAS passed between the two seasons, who knows, he might have had an existential crisis after all, we just didn’t see it. (And he’s too private to talk about this to anyone.) But I do agree that it might have ruffled fewer feathers if the writers had just written in a cure for Jean-Luc’s illness that was lying around somewhere in Soong’s place, which was their ultimate goal, get rid of the illness so that Jean-Luc can live on and re-examine his life in the two remaining seasons. I mean they should have known that Trekkies of all people would demand a bit more of a moral dilemma here than “new body, same old game now, moving on”. I can understand that part of the argument, at least. But then, I like it when a story leaves gaps (it gets my imagination going), so I personally am not too bothered… can see how others are tho, at least up to a certain degree, once it all becomes obsessive and a tool for hating on the show my understanding goes right out of the window. ;)

Do you have the source for this?

He said it in an interview here: https://decider.com/2022/03/03/star-trek-picard-season-2-partick-stewart-interview/amp/

Maybe to show how lackadaisical people in authority have become? Or scared?

indeed. As a side note, it’s possible to have a circulation without having a pulse. https://www.popsci.com/science/article/2012-02/no-pulse-how-doctors-reinvented-human-heart/

I don’t think it’s intentional, for the most part. But quite funny!
