It's an ongoing story! They have different accents.
.
Picard is an android synth as opposed to a traditional Soong android. Meaning he has blood and flesh. But I contend it remains a distinction without much of a difference, and it's a bit of a stretch to assume he would have complete organs as well. (The defibrillator malfunctions for a reason afterall.) I certainly don't recall a scene stating as much. But the greater point is that it is utterly implausible for this show to suggest that Seven, Raffi, or Rios wouldn't immediately drag Jurati from her bowing on stage so that she could immediately attend to the android synth. I know they depict Rios attending to Picard almost instantly - itself a stupid contrivance - but Seven and Raffi are literally still inside. Instead they conveniently include a contrived throwaway line suggesting she couldn't be found? Really!? Raffi makes a comment on her singing, the entire crowd is literally applauding her and staring at her, but you're telling me you lost her!?
Here is PART 2 after me pounding the keyboard hard again.
====================================================================
44) Rios exclaims that Picard has a pulse despite the fact that he's an android.
45) Rios exclaims that Picard needs a bio bed and not, say, the expertise of Jurati who in fact was mentored in Soong android tech by Bruce Maddox himself.
46) Rios exclaims that a hospital will want ID, as if they didn't execute a plan where they just concocted fake ID's for one scenario. But don't you dare do the same thing for this scenario!
47) Let me guess... If only we had a contrived excuse for Rios to interact with a doctor that doesn't check for ID... sigh
48) Sure hope that video cameras exist in 2024 or else Soong might not be getting arrested tonight.
49) Let me get this straight. The ONE expert on this incompetent crew who is a CYBERNETICIST FROM THE DAYSTROM INSTITUTE is the one person missing when an android Picard gets damaged!? Honestly? This show is written by untalented hacks for children.
50) It's the middle of the night. Why would this doctor be working? How did Rios even get a hold of her?
Does he know her address? How?
50) How did Seven pay for the bus ticket in the previous episode.(I just remembered)
51) Soong emotes all over the place, and Not Soji asks him for no reason, "Were you driving? Do I need to call someone?" Uhhhh is he not supposed to be driving or something? Has he been known to mow people down before? lol But sure, call someone. Exactly who would that be in this instance? Triple-A? The car rental place? What are you talking about?
52) Soong, a world renowned geneticist, suddenly complains about the inventions he's also created...?
53) Soong proclaims that, "The 'why' of things matters!" And thus perfectly encapsulates sentiment held by lifelong Star Trek fans who hate this show... lmao
54) Doctor tells Rios that she stuck her hands inside Picard's chest and yet neglects to freak out over, you know, the fact that he has nothing internal to resemble a human.
55) Doctor leaves her clinic to strangers. I guess Rios knows how to lock up the place so as not to get looted? In a very poor place too. Maybe the criminals have a con-science??
56) Not Soji uses internet to learn that daddy is a disgraced nut case but brass at Europa - again a space agency - did not seem to do the same thing because contrived bad cartoon writing that makes smart people do and say dumb things. Think about it.
57) Soong conveniently leaves Not Soji alone just so that she can discover the truth about her past! More contrived piss poor writing. Soji never used a computer before to look up Daddy Dearest?
58) Based on no evidence or expertise Not Laris suggests that the car impact on Picard is not the issue but rather the psychological state of the android is what is keeping him in a comatose state. Yes, that's right... Not even getting run down by a car is enough of an excuse for the writers, they need to insert yet another reason for psychological trauma to exist in their characters. So stupid. So boring.
59) And now the not expert Not Laris, who seems to be making things up as she goes, suggests that she can "go inside" the android and use her neuro-optic interceptor. Oh good! It's been at least 6 or 7 minutes since we've seen the last MacGuffin device used by someone!
60) Not Laris invokes the term "mind-meld". Does she even know the Vulcan race exists? Why is she assuming these humans understand what a mind-meld is?
61) Not Laris, a passive character by all accounts, is suddenly advocating for a rather invasive procedure...
62) Not Laris asserts that only Picard knows anything about Q, as if his former first officer, or another Starfleet captain, or a corner Borg drone & crewmember of the USS Voyager wouldn't all be intimately aware of Q, the Q Continuum, and all the shenanigans Starfleet/humanity endured because of Q. So, so, so stupid.
63) Rios asserts that they need Picard awake to get their future back based on no evidence whatsoever.
64) Episode ends with Ag-borg uselessly wandering around, as if anyone associated with this incompetent crew wouldn't have immediately tried to collect when they were bringing Picard to this clinic.
I don't hate the show I watch it religiously due to Trekobligation.
It's the bad writing. At least Renee was presentable although her angst
was tiresome and even Agnes seems better and has not puked so far.
If the writers/directors are reading this please take notes on how not to write.
