Vulcan is referred to as Ni'var in brackets on the President's war report display.

Maybe the Vulcans and Romulan reunited early to combat the Confederation?

Or just a continuity error, but I like your idea a lot better.

Fixing the timeline will kill the amazing grumpy cat. Do the needs of the many meoutway the needs of the cat. I certainly dont think so
Personally I'm still keeping my hopes up that she copied the cat and brought it with her. I mean, why would they introduce something like that and then not do anything with it? All this will have been worth something as long as the cartoon cat survives.

Let's start from the beginning. I wrote:

I asked you to elaborate on the part of that directed at me^
I did elaborate in the post you just quoted, there was nothing more to elaborate on.

As far as I know we're not currently planning manned missions to Europa, or have Sanctuary Districts in almost every major US City (though it is 2 years from now, who knows)

Though I guess it could be a Fictional election.

I said nothing about space shots whatever you meant by that.

"Planning missions to Europa"
I keep forgetting we haven't seen those in trailers yet, just an advert spotted during their filming in LA, sorry.

There's an advert for a manned mission to Europa on a bus Raffi and Seven are riding. Q is wearing a patch for the mission in one of the trailers
Pretty sure we won't be going to Europa in the next few years in real life.

That's what I meant about it being Trek Earth not real life Earth. Plus San Francisco having Sanctuary Districts like seen in DS9

So if the point of divergence is about an election, they won't use real politics.

Ok, Thanks for clarifying.

My response stays the same as I made to another member. I don't know for sure, it's just speculating.

Are we supposed to believe it's been the same Queen from FC, VOY episodes and now? Maybe this time they decided keeping the original arms of whoever that is was the better choice.
It's an altered reality, she's that timeline's queen

It's like Air Force One. Starfleet mandated that any ship carrying Kirk would be called the Enterprise.
Was the travel pod in TMP the Enterprise then? :D

The "gollum"
...is a GOLEM

Also Noticed, the Grid doesn't cover the entire planet, only areas where there isn't pollution.
In the trailers, I thought it's a defense shield, but now we see that it shifts around... collecting pollution, moving it away from populated areas?

So in this alternate timeline you think general sisko has Weyons skull and a calcified changeling in his trophy room?
And Winn's! And Eddington's!

Unless my ears deceived me (entirely possible!), we got a small easter-egg reference to 12 Monkeys, Terry Matalas's other time-travel based show! :D

I saw the episode on regular TV on Thursday, so I had no way to rewatch and confirm. But the episode was up on the CTV website today, so I went back to check that scene. Out of the two references I thought I heard, only one was actually there. This is in the scene when the gang is in Jurati's lab, trying to figure out how they can time travel.
  • I thought the Borg Queen mentioned the "red forest", but according to the subtitles, the words I was hearing were actually "rendered" and "forced".
  • But she did very definitely say "finding the Primary"!
Plus there's also the similarity in the naming of "the Watcher" and "the Witness".

Now I'm hoping that Jay Karnes's character has the last name Gale, and he casually references his FBI agent grandfather! :D

Best episode out of the whole Star Trek Picard show, I hadn’t felt Anxiety in a Star Trek show In a few years since I watched DS9. Great acting from both Sir Patrick Stewart and John De Lancie. Ihave a few questions such as what happened in 2024 that changed the timeline? Was it because of Sisko’s actions in the DS9 episode “Past Tense”?

IIRC, it has something to do with (major spoiler ahead of course)...

Brent Spiner's upcoming character, Adam Soong.

We don't yet know exactly who Adam is (save that he is of course the ancestor of the other Soongs we've seen - Arik, Noonien, and Alton) or what he does, but apparently the entire Confederation hinges on him, as there is an enormous holo-statue of him in the alt-timeline's San Francisco Bay.

Also, Adam is the originator of the Confederation's catch phrase "A safe galaxy is a human galaxy".
