Would have been better if they just let Boilmer win. She doesn’t need to one up everything
She kinda does. That's one of her problems. The fact that she cheered for the guys saving everyone was IMO character development for her. She has a lot of defense mechanisms.

I loved the episode and laughed ALOT. This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite shows and a highlight of my week.

An 8, so more like how much I liked the first couple of episodes.

D'Ana was getting all of the best laughs for me, like last week. :D

Boimler and Rutherford had some fun scenes negotiating with the Ferengi.

Absolutely loved this one. It was fun, funny, and not nearly as ridiculous as some of the other episodes have been this season. It also wasn’t dizzingly fast-paced and shouty. It felt like a legitimate Star Trek episode in terms of plot and structure.

Easily the best episode of the season for me. After two 5’s and a 7, this one gets…

9/10

Overall I enjoyed this one, though I don’t think I fully appreciated how much the opening skit can influence your perception of the rest of the episode.

I have no problem with Mariners impulsive, sometimes reckless nature servicing the story for friendship or fleet. However when it’s dialled up to 11 like it was in the first couple of minutes and there’s impaling and vomiting for no real reason other than to remind us about Mariners character (which we’re very well aware of at this point) it kinda switches me off. I think I was less accepting of the rest of the episode because of it.

Second viewing was better minus the intro skit and I appreciated the story arcs more. I’m enjoying how we’re seeing a little more of the background characters and fleshing out the crew as a whole. Thumbs up again to the T’Ana jokes. Also the camera focusing in on Tendi and her expression as T’Ana sweet talks Shax – priceless.

I gave this episode an 8. It was not as good as the previous one, but still good. It was a bit slow at the beginning, but from the moment they beamed to the planet, it became fun. The jokes were quite juvenile from time to time, but I found them funny. I have no problems with sex jokes.

Overall, a good one. Hopefully one of these episodes is a full 10, but well see.

I really enjoyed this one. The Mugatu sex jokes made me lugh out loud and T'Ana was hilarious for the second week in a row. Liked seeing Mugatus and Ferengi and the Last Outpost Ferengi crack didn't bother me, always nice to see them as a threat. Loved how Boimler and Rutherford came up with a peaceful solution as well.

I wonder if they'll be a medusan someday...

Have you people spotted any medusans in the series so far?

Or a tholian?

The title is a reference to the confused naming of the Mugato in TOS: "A Private Little War". The creature was named a "Gumato" in the script, but DeForest Kelley could not pronounce the word "Gumato", so it was changed to "Mugato" (which Kelley and William Shatner proceeded to pronounce "Mugatu"). However, Janos Prohaska was credited in the episode as "Gumato". - Memory Alpha
This is a myth. I asked the late Dorothy Fontana about this and she said it wasn't true. They changed the name at the last minute because Mugato sounded better.
