This discussion brings me back to this…

I was scouting YouTube for good fan-made CGI last year and while watching this video I wondered how this guy had such beautifully detailed models lit so badly and with such disorienting camera movements…it was only afterwards, reading the description, that I realised these were clips from the real show, not from a fan!

I mean, I can follow it all just fine. It also feels out in space, distant and alone.

To me it felt badly lit and badly choreographed. And I was under the wrong assumption that it was fan-made stuff!

Fair enough. Some of my favorite space shots and battles are from Discovery so what do I know?

Like "Forget Me Not," watching in my hotel room in Sacramento. This is about as close as I get to binge-watching.

A straightforward "problem solving" story, albeit with the added wrinkle of Saru and the Discovery crew having to prove themselves to a skeptical Commander in Chief.

    I gave it an 8.
