The point of Crisis was pretty much that everything is a part of the multiverse, not just what they could get the cameos for.

Its not--largely because its showrunners and the studio PTB never said it was, which is the case with several DC adaptations.

    The Antimonitor destroyed the Multiverse.

    It's all gone.

Meanwhile your argument is that Gotham lives.

That there was no kickback or retribution for season 3 of Gotham.

Pretty sure Warner owns it and FOX has no say it what's done with the show and it's characters now that it's canceled.

    DC owns the characters.

FOX owns the episodes made, and they are being rerun, and sold globally to be run and rerun everywhere for decades to come. Its still making FOX 10s of millions of dollars a year from physical media (COUGH!!), licensing( I'm 50/50 on if they can make a Gotham monopoly Board Game without approval from DC/WB unless their licensing deal was multiplatform, which it would have to be to sell DVDs), reruns and streaming.

Fox owns the original story telling from the episodes they own.

DC, for Crisis, could have gotten Gotham actors, but they could not have used or referenced any original storymatter from the FOX series Gotham, because that is copyrighted material, unless Fox gave a thumbs up, which of course they would do because its theoretically helpful to them.

Do they? It was made by Warner, DC and Heller's Primrose Produtions. DVDs are relased through Warner with DC branding. Warner has shopped the international rights to various entities. FOX seems to have rights in the US. But for how long? Currently I can stream it on Netflix, Amazon, VUDU or Apple TV

I'm just glad that the actress is getting another shot: Montoya and Allen were wasted in Gotham. They were discarded early.

Except we saw it return in the epilogue...

Wow, a whole debate seems to have blown up as a result of people taking my line "So I guess we can assume this Montoya is a doppelganger of the one from Gotham's Earth" way too literally. I wasn't remotely suggesting that Batwoman would actually reference Gotham's universe an actual onscreen plot point; I was just saying that since it's the same actress, we can choose to interpret her in our own minds as a doppelganger. Obviously they're doing their own separate version of the character.

I mean, heck, Gotham abandoned Montoya after less than a dozen episodes, so it's not like there's much of anything to reference from that version of the character anyway.

    Interesting.

So FOX is getting screwed now, and is going to get screwed a lot harder, because they paid so, so , so much money for pratically nothing.

below is the quote my point of view is based on.

Being allowed to use/air DC Characters doesn't matter much if they are not actually making the programming them selves, which was my assumption.

    Replaced, not returned.

The big bang, and then 16 billion years of history, across infinite (or 53) Earths, and then the story picks up.

The Flash murdered his Doppleganger, and assumed that variant's life.

Does Iris really understand that her Barry is dead?

    Oh.

The Allens were not married until last week because the Iris our Barry married, died 16 billion years ago.

I would assume the license was only in play for the life of Gotham. No Gotham, no license, no characters. Currently we have several Batman related projects in play (Including Batwoman) and FOX isn't getting squat.

Well I doubt it was an exclusive license.

Gotham finished in 2019, and Titans started in 2018. A bunch of Bat stuff reared up in the Arrowverse.

    https://www.fox.com/gotham/

    No longer available on FOX.

    WTF?

Google play, Hulu, itunes, Netflix, others.

    DC is shrewder than Marvel.

FOX (Constantin films for even longer)) got hold of the Fantastic Four for 20 years.

Marvel still has to pay Sony to use Spider-Man in the MCU.

    Sigh.

I liked her a lot in Agent Carter, should make a good Ivy.

Hopefully they actually do something with her. I think the guy who played Zsasz and Wallis Day were wasted opportunities to do more.

Yeah... I was less impressed by her in Legends of the Seeker, but I found her quite impressive in White Collar and Agent Carter. This is good news.

I remembered her from The Last Ship, but when you two mentioned Agent Carter, I suddenly remembered she was in that.

    I need to rewatch AC.

Lake "Poison Ivy on Hatley Quinn" Bell played Black Widow on "What If" last week, and made out with Ultron a million years ago on a Lawyer show.

Bridget played a 1950s Black Widow on Agent Carter.

Are there really so few good rolls for women on TV.

Although considering how the lesbian love story on Harley Quinn makes Batwoman look like a pray away the gay camp...

The Batwoman Writers Room is going to choke.

Regan was excellent as the main villain on Jane the Virgin.
