Seven had already dumped Chak in the episode. In fact counting holo-Chak she dumped him twice!

Which episode? Far as I know, they weren't yet a thing as of present day "Endgame".
It's been awhile since I saw "Endgame", and I might have missed Human Error. I didn't have access to a TV when Voyager was running the first time.
That's how I feel about most Star Trek related pairings.I view Chakotay and Seven the way I view Ron and Hermione in the Potterverse... I like both characters, but I don't like them together.
I like hot fudge sundaes.
I like lasanga.
I don't want hot fudge sauce on my lasagna.

They all are, for me, uninteresting by default. Well orchestrated but ultimately forgettable in a serious that supposedly is about exploring out in space. But, no, we have to have the "Will the/won't they?" styling romances.I can understand that. But some are worse than others, and a few are almost palatable.
Otherwise, I would watch a romance show and not the show with the rocket ships and ray guns.
Caring about characters doesn't equal wanting romantic plots/subplots/whatnots. Maybe I just want characters doing the adventurous stuff. It's not just rocket ships and ray guns, it's about the characters you come to know, and appreciate, and even name your kids after. Your cat, anyway.
Is having blue eyes a lifestyle? How about your height (sans shoes). Is that a lifestyle?
No?
Then being LGBT is not a lifestyle, either. Traits you were born with are not a lifestyle. They are traits you were born with.
Unless you are homeschooling them and never allow them to mingle with other children, they will very likely already have encountered children with these "other gender identities" that you find so confusing.
After all, I assume that your state doesn't require people to sew labels on their clothing (yet) to inform others of such personal information.
No, really? Are they so wrapped in cotton wool that they wouldn't already know about it from school, or is my guess of homeschooling and isolation correct?
Honestly, you are not the victim here. You might not actively hate, but you don't demonstrate much beyond grudging tolerance. I'm really disappointed to find this on a Star Trek site. You know, IDIC, and all that sort of stuff.
.
Exactly. How people choose to live their lives is up to them. That goes, no matter what. You might be born with a certain orientation but how you choose to live your life is, of course, up to you.
Were they harmed by these interactions? They've encountered and played with one gender neutral kid a few years older than them so far as I recall. They were probably around 7 or 8 at the time. I don't think they even realized that there was anything different about them.
Why are you that sure? Do you not think it possible that kids would feel more comfortable coming out to their age peers, but not to adults they don't know if they can trust?Other than that, I'm not aware of any other LGBQT child they've encountered or are aware of. It's possible they have but if these kids were out, I'm pretty sure I would've heard about it.
I'm in Canada. Same-sex relationships were decriminalized in 1968, and same-sex marriage was legalized in 2005. Sexual orientation is one of the bases on which people cannot legally be discriminated against, according to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.Um, no, California doesn't require that, thankfully. How about yours?
Tolerance has such a grudging way about it. Acceptance has a much better ring.Isn't tolerance, civility, and justice enough?
Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combination, including intolerance? As for IDIC, right back at you. It goes both ways.
Chakotay and the rest of the maquis terrorists were probably arrested five minutes after Voyager returned and Seven noped out of that relationship.Do you think Chakotay and Seven were together long after returning to Earth? Some break up must have happened before she joined the Rangers.
