I like both Superman Returns and Man of Steel. Is that an unpopular opinion here?![]()

Who’s to say their Luthor was black?Except this "Captain Luthor" is black.
I still don’t understand why people have a issue with his Superman. I’m a big fan of the character as well and I have no issue with him.Snyder’s version of Superman has always been controversial and divisive, here and elsewhere. I have no desire to dislike any Superman portrayal, and have found much to enjoy in every other live-action iteration of the character. I’ve even found (a few) things to appreciate in Snyder’s movies, just not his Supes. But believe me, I’d much rather be happy than unhappy with every Superman portrayal, and there’s a part of me that envies those able to embrace Snyderman.

The guy was saying that it couldn’t be Luthor Jr because he is black. I’m saying that maybe their Luthor was also black.I don't understand the question. We know the actor playing the role, Wolé Parks. We saw the back of his head when he took his helmet off and was addressed as Captain Luthor.

Ah. My bad.Oh, I see. You meant, who's to say their Luthor wasn't black?
As I said a few days ago, that's certainly possible for an alternate reality, just as it's possible that a white Lex Luthor could've had a child with a black woman, or married a black woman who already had a child, or adopted a son.
I did like "Man of Steel". My particular issue with "Superman Returns" is that I like the original version of it AKA "Superman The Movie (1978)".I like both Superman Returns and Man of Steel. Is that an unpopular opinion here?![]()

I still preferred Gene Hackman's version of Luthor over Kevin Spacey's in this instance.
Current tally: 26 mentions by Trek_God_1 of Superman being a camp counselor across 3 threads. Because I guess we just don't get it yet.
