Season 13 starts shooting in a few weeks

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Why bother arguing with someone who has made it clear that he has mind set on hating everything and that arguing with him is a complete waste of time. Instead of letting him and others like him drag the conversation down, can we go back to celebrating the fact that Captain Jack is finally going to meet The Thirteenth Doctor in the next episode, whether it's Christmas or New Year's Day?!

Some people want to watch the world burn and make everyone miserable. It’s a way of feeling important.

And, FUCK YEAH, Jack is back. I cannot wait to see what he makes of this Doctor. Or her of him.

I actually remember watching that back in 86, but i had somehow thought in my head it was a piece on Nationwide rather than Open air, no doubt because the studios and formats were almost identical, but poor Pip and Jane Baker in that clip, if only there were round today to get some payback. lol

So how many Doctors has Jack met now?
I haven't watched Season 12 yet, but I enjoyed Season 11, it wasn't the best the show's ever been but I still thought it was good.

9, 10 and hopefully 13, on television. Not sure about Big Finish, but I remember them promoting a crossover with the Sixth Doctor at one point.

If I recall correctly, they wanted to bring him back for the 11th Doctor episode "A Good Man Goes To War", but they couldn't work out the timing with Barrowman.

I'm behind on the Diaries, but I think she's managed to meet all of them except War, Eleventh, and Twelfth (and maybe First and Second).

On screen 9 and 10.
In The Lives of Captain Jack from Big Finish he meets (and briefly impersonates) 6.

OK, so the junkyard chic aesthetic was actually an attempt to hew closer to how Daleks "actually" look in this time period?

Don't like the smaller suckers and it looks a bit like a bulimic supermodel rebuild, but otherwise OK. Mind you, I never thought the rainbow Daleks the Moff tried were THAT bad either.

Was the episode where they had the characters from Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures a 10th Doctor episode? I could have sworn that was 11.
The article I read said that we will see him meet 13 during the episode.

I like to think "Cornelius" in The Coming of the Terraphiles is Jack, since Michael Moorcock intended that character to be Jack but was told no, in which case he'd have met 11.

I have a novel outline for an eighth Doctor novel, during the Earth Arc of the EDAs with Jack, but that doesn't count. :)

^I haven't read The Coming of the Terraphiles. It seems a shame they couldn't explicitly have Jack meet 11. It seems so arbitrary. 13 can meet Ace in a book, Jack can meet 6 in an audio, River can meet any (and every Doctor), but Jack can't meet 11 in a book. I wonder if in that specific case they had specific plans to have him meet 11 on TV that didn't pan out.

Terraphiles was being written at the time when Moffat would have had an outline for season 6, and was intending to use Jack in A Good Man Goes to War, and because of that, Jack wasn't allowed to be used in Terraphiles. Similar thing with the Twelfth Doctor book with Bernice Summerfield. The original plan was to use River instead, but Moffat was already writing The Husbands of River Son which made her off-limits for that book. Hell, even RTD had a short story planned for 2013 which was supposed to be about the end of the Time War and the Eighth Doctor's regeneration which had to be abandoned because of Day of the Doctor, though that at least did see a release as Lockdown Bonus Material earlier this year.

The novel with Ace meeting the Thirteenth Doctor, as well as all the stuff you mentioned in the audios only happened because there are no plans for them to be done on the show. Part of the approval process tie-in materials go through is to make sure they aren't covering material that is being planned for the show.
