Sontaran's perverting the course of human history!
We already had Judoon, Time Lords and Cybermen last series. This comment feels very, post-series-10, pre-Revolution.if those are sontarans, it must have physically hurt chibnail to have to use actual Doctor Who aliens in an episode, especially after having to use a dalek last time. It turns out you can literally remove the doctor from the show, but the BBC or some connected group still wants to sell recongniseable merch.

Why? The Judoon had an entire episode and the Cybermen were build-up throughout the series, and having three (IIRC) episodes where they're either the main or seconadary villain.I forgot the jadoon and cybermen, although they barely count
They didn't just kill them, they also massively expanded on their origins, in a way that hasn't really been done before. Was that good? Meh, honestly I don't care, I like to take a "everything counts" approach to Who canon, so I don't really feel massively impacted here. But they definitely used the Time Lords as an integral part of the series.but killing all the time Lords doesn't count as using them.
Chibnall has been a lifelong fan, hell, (according to wiipedia), he even critized Trial of a Time Lord when it was airing, which is funny to me, since he was critizing a not-very-well-received Doctor at a time where the show wasn't doing very well. He's clearly a real fan. I was under the impression, that the lack of use of recurring aliens in series 11 was more of a "we're bringing all these aliens back all the time, it's undermining their scariness" thing. Hell, I remember people complaining how the Daleks getting defeated time and again in recent years made them a lot less menacing as a threat.Anyway, it's obvious they would not reuse any aliens if they weren't forced to, they don't even use the doctor anymore, I just find it funny to see a classic Doctor Who alien return almost certainly against the producers wishes.
Fantastic!! I cannot wait!!Surprise!
Well not really given that some of the behind-the-scenes footage released during Series 12 kind of gave it away when it showed him being directed by the director of ROTD rather than FOTJ.

Because I live in the Reality Based Community instead of the Kirk55555 Cinematic Universe, none of this makes a bit of sense to me. I watched "The Timeless Child" this afternoon along with the worldwide tweetalong and saw plenty of the Doctor in the episode. Two, actually, with speaking parts. So I don't really know what you're on about.
I expect the person who takes over after chibnall, hopefully sooner rather than later, will retcon it all the way anyway, but until then the show officially does not star the doctor, it stars some random interdimensional asshole that stole the doctor's name.
Picture quality is terrible, but here it is (Chibnall shows up shortly after the two minute mark):(according to wiipedia), he even critized Trial of a Time Lord when it was airing,
I don't know why you bother watching, then. I've said this to you before -- if you hate Chibnall's Who that fucking much, then stop watching it. Life's too damn short, especially in these pandemic times, to spend the little of it that you have watching things you're predisposed to hate. Watch kitten videos. Spend time with puppies. Eat key lime pie. Stop watching Doctor Who. That seems like a sensible life plan for you.
FWIW, I can think of a half-dozen ways of retconing the reveal in "The Timeless Child" away. Chibnall may have, in true comic book fashion, done that with the express intent of undoing it at the end of his run.

It's true, this thread doesn't have anywhere near the appropriate amount of squeeing over this. 2020 may have been a raging dumpster fire, but this maybe just the thing to make it all worth it.can we go back to celebrating the fact that Captain Jack is finally going to meet The Thirteenth Doctor in the next episode,
