Hello all,

New here, but a life long Trek lover. I am also an artist, and creative developer of Star Trek content as a hobby. Do to personal reasons I have never publicly shared what amounts to over a decades worth of work on my own Star Trek Universe. Things change though... Yes, I know it sounds intriguing and a tad crazy at the same time.

So if i wanted to start a thread about my work, not for endless banter, but to actually network and bring everything I have created to the world, would someone be so kind as to direct me to the appropriate thread(s)??? When I list everything I have created, you may think I'm insane..

Either Fan Productions, Fan Fiction, or Fan Art, depending on what it all is specifically.

Check out those three fora.

I knew and loved TOS so well, that before TMP, I had a poster of a D7 battlecruiser on my wall in kindergarten.
The D7 is actually why I'm here or rather Matt Jefferies's original technical drawings of it. I've found small, low resolution pictures of them online, but I've been stumped finding anything better. Looking down the list of categories, I'm really not certain which one to ask about them in.
At any rate, thank you for having me.

Oddish here, super fandom geek and writer of both serious and parody fanfiction. Into Pokémon, Harry Potter, Fallout, Skyrim, Destiny, and Star Trek fandoms at various times. Expect that if I don't get banned, you'll be seeing a lot of me...

Hi everybody, I watched every thing Trek when it was first released, except the animated series. I was in High School and worked flipping burgers for minimum wage on the weekends. There were no consumer VCRs at the time so I couldn't time shift. By the time I graduated HS and joined the service, the show was cancelled.

Luckily, I was able to watch the animated series because I didn't start working at the Burger King for minimum wage until 1976. Glad you are on the site. :)

Glad to finally be here, I don't know why I didn't register earlier. In 1976 I started my 6 year stint in the USN. Wasn't making much more than minimum wage with Uncle Sam, considering the work hours. I wasn't able to watch much TV during that time either. :)

Your naval background will be an asset on the site with so many discussions on ranks, ship operations, etc. :techman:

I understand how they work in the US Navy. Most world navies are similar, but there are slight differences. For example a warrant officer in the US armed forces is a different rank than in the British armed forces. What is Star Fleet using, the Royal Navy or the US Navy? Parts of both, neither? That is where it is hard to tell. I just watch and enjoy the show.

Greetings one and all. I discovered Trek in syndication back in the 70s as a kid. (Yes, I'm old.) I've been following it ever since. Spent many years as a musician, a writer, and then fell into the medical field, Finally I ended up owning and operating my own business, which while successful, I decided to close about a year ago. I decided it was time for a change, so I moved to a new state, looking for a fresh start. Of course a global pandemic would hit after doing that. Good times.
Star Trek has been with me throughout it all. With few exceptions, it's been a solitary pursuit, though I was lucky to have a couple friends and a sibling who shared my passion for it.
Whatever the iteration of the show, I have found something to like. Most of the "modern" shows (TNG onwards) were slow starters, and yet I watched all of them, even when they were bad, like a person rooting for their sports team. They all found their footing though.( Some more than others, maybe!)
I used to be active on some message boards in the mid to late 2000s. Then the JJ movies arrived and all hell broke loose. It seemed like a fundamental shift in the fandom. One had to be either for or against....and depending on one's opinion, someone would be happy to reply with "you don't understand TRUE Star Trek!" It was like witnessing a religion fracture into sub-groups, all of whom were convinced theirs was the true Trek! Most distressing!
Disillusioned, I retreated from fandom for the most part. Over the last several years however, I have lurked here quite a bit, and enjoyed reading some rather engaging discussion being had.
With time on my hands, I figured why not re-engage in some nerd talk?
Shutting up now, and thanks for listening. LL+P!

Hello to all! Name's Vincent but you can call me Vinny/Vince or Eric. I've been lurking and responding to a few threads but I realized now that I haven't officially introduced myself here.
My favorite trek is VOY and i'm on S5 of DS9. I've also watched most of TOS and few episodes of TNG
For some of my non-trek interests I enjoy Video games, record collecting and making art
I hope i'm able to make some new friends as I chat with you all!
