Voyager Deep Space Nine Crossover

It was something I always wanted to see between these 2 spinoff series of TNG. I thought the characters could mold well with each other and both were exploring two new quadrants of space. How fun it could've been to have Commander Sisko jibing with Captain Janeway on a mystery which involved the Gamma Quadrant and the Delta Quadrant. I had an idea where a portion of space was merging within each other disrupting space time where a phenomena is forming; bringing in alien solar systems from another galaxy is destabilizing the existence of the ones present. It's destroying the establishment of existence in both of the crews' fronts of their portion of space. I would've love to see Bashir and the Doctor chat and how OBrien, Jadzia, Tuvoc, B'Elanna brainstorm about this strange incident. Of course the resolution would not be to solve Voyager's own dilemma but it would show how well chemistry between this great cast could gel amongst each other.

Would anyone like to share their ideas of a VOY/DS9 crossover? Were there stories which already had them together? Also, which characters between each series you'd love to have seen together for a mission? Please include comparisons and scenarios which would work in a mission or in a friendly union?

It would have been a great alternative to "Nemesis" for Star Trek X. The TNG cast had done three movies. One was underwhelming, one was amazing, and one was acceptable. Maybe it was time for the other franchises to have their turn.

A possible crossover would've been more likely on DS9's 3rd season and during VOY's first or maybe possibly their 2nd because of the window of opportunity. When DS9 got into their 4th season they were up to their necks with war or unrest with the Klingons; I think a good crossover would be interesting when the crews' were not too deep in their own mythos villains, but VOY did have some wranglings with the Kazons. Also, I would like to see some unison between the crews with the uniforms, in my mind it looks appropriate.

I always felt that The Doctor and Vic Fontaine would have great conversations with each other about sentience, their holographic nature and being treated like real people by their crews. With The Doctor talking about how he had to fight for his rights, to be included in crew briefings, turn his program on and off etc.How it didn't always stick and how they've violated his rights even after gaining his mobile emitter and his status of CMO. His encounters with other holograms who are not so fond of organics. With Vic just being shocked and maybe a little on how different their experiences are.
It would be fascinating to watch their characters interact
Oh and they definitely sing a duet or two

Well, they had Robert Picardo on DS9 as Zimmerman and I’m very satisfied with the result, don’t really feel the need for anything else.

Kes was astonished by The Doctor, and the drips of development he had during her run on VOY. If Kes ever met Vic it would've blew her mind on how advanced a program he was.

Maybe Tom knows that Felix guy who Bashir got the Vic program from. Maybe there was a copy of Vic but Tom never used it...

Maybe Tom WAS Felix. Maybe he was also Nick Lacarno, too. Who knows how many passports the naughty Tom Paris had hidden under his floorboards (along with 456 bars of hot gold press latinum and an illegal Ferengi plasma whip).

Totally!, hell she would probably even try to convince him to think of himself outside of his holoprogram. I also wonder how the DS9 crew react to Ocampan Life span
And speaking of Tom given that a good chuck of the VOY crew were Maquis i feel like Sisko would be a little standoffish with them

As to what a 2-parter crossover would be like..... I don't have a story, but I think these elements should be in it:

Janeway gets invited by Sisko for dinner. He makes his famous jambalaya (hours of manual preparation). After tasting, Janeway assures him that she, too, is at odds with her replicator that managed to incinerate an entire pot roast just a few weeks ago. While they develop a solid working relationship over the 2-parter, they don't become good friends.

After observing him for a few hours, Chakotay gets cornered by Kira, who asks him what exactly happened with his Maquis allegiance, and if he even has the guts to speak up for his crew. Oh, and if he can become a bit clearer about his exact religion, too.

The EMH informs Bashir cheerfully that even though he may be a genetically enhanced humanoid, he will never be able to be as fast (mentally or physically) as the EMH is, him having no such limitations as a hologram.

Paris puts the moves on Jadzia and is completely unfazed when he hears she's 400 years old and has been a man several times. After courting a Klingon, he's ready for anything.

Harry gets really, really annoyed when he hears Nog made Lieutenant even before graduating Starfleet.

Tuvok and Odo get along famously, exchanging their "outsider views" on humanity and their views as head of security.

O'Brien and B'Elanna immediately disappear to the Defiant, exchanging technical know-how.

Neelix gets completely p*wned by Quark, who thinks he is a sorry excuse of an amateur when it comes to exploiting people.

Kes is only seen in the first part of the 2 parter, part 2 she's supposedly exploring Bajor because she has heard so many stories of the amazing botany Bajor has in some regions. Fortunately, by then, 7 of 9's regeneration cycle has ended so she joins the action by beaming over from the station.

I would really have liked to see that meeting between Kes and Vic.

It would have been great if there had been a DS9-Voyager crossover.

I'd like to 7 become a Dabo girl and her and Letta fight for Roms attention.

O'Brien and B'Elanna would be fine, but I think it would be interesting see Kira and B'Elanna chatting. It could be about their experiences with the Cardassians and how they handled it, and talk about living in a religious society which I believe B'Elanna and Kira were characters who strive for something to believe in. Kira believed in Commander Sisko, and B'Elanna believed in Chakotay.

Paris I think would be interested in traveling through the wormhole and figuring out how to travel faster in the phenomena.

I can see Harry being less naive when he meets Quark again, and Quark might not even recognize him but they would have story to tell between them. Maybe getting into some fantasy in the Holo-suites.

Tuvok might visit Bajor just to see, learn of their philosophy. It would be cool to see Tuvok and Odo together, the meeting of the minds, on an investigation.

Neelix might be more in tuned with Jadzia, she loves having fun and values her time. Or Neelix and Sisko could get along from their cooking range. See, there's a lot I find in common with these heroes.

Of course, many more fun interactions are possible. I just wanted to mainly focus on a few "counterparts" meeting one another (i.e. captain meets captain, XO meets XO, etc) :)

I'm wondering the conversation Commander Sisko and Captain Janeway would have? I would like to think Starfleet has expanded enough where he never heard of her and she's one of the many spaceships who are lost in space. Somehow getting knowledge of her and her predicament Sisko would do everything in his power to help her and the crew of VOY. She would be astonished a Commander had so much responsibility and so much on his plate he could be so certain and confident. She would compare her dealings with the Kazons and Vidians but she would still be fascinated what Sisko experienced at the edge of frontier. A meeting of the minds, but I would like them together to be more useful if they were joined for galactic dilemma and working to solve an immediate situation.

I don’t think Tuvok would care for the Bajoran religion, though he’d respect those who follow the path of the prophets.

I know Dr. Bashir would be fascinated by Kes and would immediately want to discover why they only live so short. Having the EMH and Bashir and maybe Jadzia would brainstorm on her lifespan and discuss. Her species is really fascinating and should've been a long re-occurring story for the VOY crew. The Ocampa's whole existence is solid mystery and was left that way.
