OK, I'm starting to think you and I are having some serious miscommunication issues here these last few days, because you are completely misunderstanding what I am saying and focusing on the wrong thing.
I'm not talking about the sexual, slut shaming aspects of this at all. All I'm saying is that is not a good idea to put yourself in a position where things you do not want to be made public can get out. It's not about the pictures, or this specific situation, I'm just talking about personal things being made public in general.

It's pretty easy to sufficiently secure one's phone.* The problem is, most people don't bother to do it. Even still, 'Hollywood' takes a lot of liberties with the whole cloning. While it isn't exactly difficult, it does require specific equipment - which would normally not be something typical high schoolers have access to.

I think you're missing a big possibility. If they're hewing close to the comics, Cindy will be revealed as Shiv, the supervillain daughter of Doctor Ito/Dragon King, not just your typical high school mean girl. He specifically said in episode 4 that he's been working on his daughter. So my guess is she might have some kind of cybernetic or bioengineered enhancements that would allow her to completely interface with the phone in the moments she had it in her grasp.

That's not what you said. You said, verbatim, "What she did was stupid." You demeaned her for something that was everyone's fault except hers. And that is the same thing Yolanda's parents and classmates are doing to her.

Yes, but all I meant was that she should never have let something as dangerous to her as the photos get out in the first place. It had nothing to do with her being a girl, or that they were naked pictures. I would have said the exact same thing if she was a guy who had let shared some kind of sensative written document that ended up getting released to the public.

I'm still having a problem with the Nick/Disney TV movie vibe, the characters just don't act very realistically to me. Does Courtney have any sense of preserving her own well-being or risking the lives of her friends and family? She's almost a sociopath, lets pull the power in the hospital, jump off the building Yolanda, her heart's in the right place but she is incapable of understanding danger for herself and others and having empathy for its effects. Everyone else is one-dimensional, Pat is put-upon, the brother is an ass, mom has a career, etc. I was grateful for Yolanda because at least she had a little dimension.

So it's Hourman and Doctor Mid-Nite this week. I'm getting a little tired of the heroes' paraphernalia having minds of their own and glowy energy and so on. Although I get why they made the hourglass the source of Hourman's powers, since having a teenager take pills to make himself feel powerful would be problematical.

It's wild that Rex Tyler is played by Lou Ferrigno, Jr. I wonder if it's an inside joke that they had him killed by Solomon Grundy, who's often treated as DC's Hulk surrogate.

There's a great saying--never write down anything you don't want published in the NY Times. There is no QUESTION that Yolanda was a victim. None. But she should NEVER have taken those pictures. That was dumb. To say she is blameless is wrong too. She didn't deserve what happened, and the anger should be at the students that did this to her, but she made a terrible mistake and it cost her.

This stuff also happens in real life a lot. Look at Congressman Anthony Weiner. Never send a picture of yourself that you don't want to see published.

That said, the girl was humiliated and suffered more than she should have. Whatever she may have done wrong, she was hit with an overkill punishment and did not deserve what happened to her. Far worse than the humiliation was what her parents did.
