Wonder Woman 2 Anticipation Thread

I still can't come up with a sensible way to get Pine back into the movie.. it has the potential to really cheapen the sacrifice he made in the first movie.
Do you really want to know, because I’ll tell you. Or can you wait for the movie.

Maxwell Lord has a magical item that grants your wishes and desires. Diana’s wish is for the return of Steve.

Thanks.. that seems like a plausible and typical comicbook method to bring him back. Could even make for a decent drama portion of the movie when it inevitably backfires.

Or this Steve could be a relation of the original. The TV show did that by having CBS Steve be the son of the ABC Steve, the movie's Steve could be a grandnephew or something.

In the trailer, she's clearly explaining daily life to him the way he did for her in the first film. He;s certainly not just a regular guy in the 80s.

Ah, I haven't been following the trailers. Thanks. I wish they'd gone with a relation. Steve's death should have lasted a little longer. Most comic book deaths should.

I called it after the first WW movie, sad fact is that Gal Gadot isn't that good an actress and always needed someone else to play off of for the story to work. Whether it was Pine or the actresses playing her mom and Aunt. Same with her scenes with Affleck in BvS and Justice League.

And a big part of what made the first movie enjoyable was the chemistry she had with Pine. They weren't going to stop milking that cow if possible.

^

Gadot is (wait for it) a wonder in this role. She is Christopher Reeve level perfection in comicbook casting. No one is carrying her, and no one needs to.
Oh my jesus no.

Er, yes. Go watch her performance in WW, she says mainly all very basic lines while the complicated stuff is done by Thewlis, Pine, Wright or Nielsen. They did a great job pretending she's giving some deep performance, but it's only when she had someone to play off of. Any scenes of her on her own or where she has to carry the focus, they don't hold up.

Yeah no, this is crazy talk.

She never got with either of them, but it was really very (reverse) Mrs Robinson nearly.
