Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

(To put this into perspective, Nickelodeon had a Star Trek stand at the New York Toy Fair with brand new Enterprise concept art, and absolutely nobody covered it. So the only way is up.)

So De Cartier had concept art of a brand-new Enterprise, and not one person attending the event took a photo of it?

No, you can ask the person who drew it for a print or something. https://www.dgc.ca/en/ontario/memberView?m=20818&pdf=1
What a pal.............so you are ratting out JOSHU DE CARTIER for breaking his NDA by telling you or did you get this info from your job? Either way I'm pretty sure it's not smart to post about it on a BBS. Strange New World is what is listed as well..........not Enterprise so I don't even understand your OP now.

I'm not a toy collector, but from what I can read, the NY Toy Fair was pretty well attended by fans who blogged, photographed and otherwise took notice of lots of offerings of new Star Trek related toys. It's hard to believe that none of them would have avoided mentioning a new line of Pike related toys being marketed under Star Trek Enterprise. That's the weak putty applied over the leaking damn of this arguement. That and the fact that CBS All Access isn't going to try to magic some way to have two Star Trek: Enterprises on all access. It's just too damn confusing.

If it IS Strange New World, that heavily implies a miniseries or movie, due to the singular noun. At least that's what Javid Iqbal told me the other day, who is a real actor.

Would this count as a mild form of doxxing?

He is the art director for Star Trek: Enterprise. Chill the fuck out. Not a secret.

Strange New World is the working title, similar to Wind Cleaver and Green Harvest. The show's title is Star Trek: Enterprise.

That's my point. To be fair, we didn't have great coverage either. I think Randy had to physically grab somebody to make this article happen.

There weren't any Pike toys. It was artwork of the "Discoprise" with the TOS crew, for Nickelodeon's stand. It'll make an appearance again at the next trade show.

Your point

There was no licensed "Star Trek: Enterprise" pike series items then.

I didn't say anything about there being toys.

Bottom line: the new licensing team don't care if I list every single license they're currently looking for partners for. I was encouraged to post it here actually, because if it gets interest, it gets interest. Read better.

You brought it all up.........and I really think you have it backwards. We will see.

So the only way is up.

CBS promoted the hell out of Picard for over a year before it landed on CBS All Access (Stream 12,000+ episodes & your local broadcast on the go. Try 1 week free! Includes The Good Fight!). Even in this age of fear and plague, I THINK CBS can do a little better than promoting a new series than some concept art across the aisle from the table selling resin Manimal figures.

ok. .i totally believe you. You are in so deep with CBS you can feel them loosen when they cough. You have the pulse on this organization. It's going to be called Star Trek Enterprise. There. You're awesome! Feel great! :)

I am sure he would enjoy endless emails from Trek fans asking about his current work that he can't talk about. It may be his public info but you just put a magnifying glass on it and told folks to ask him.
Feel free to edit my post. The point was more you can ask him directly for it.

The artwork has been discussed over on the Literature forum before too. It was confirmed that merchandise released under "The Original Series" branding will keep the original 1960s aesthetic, but merchandise released under the new "Star Trek Universe" masterbranding will depict TOS characters in the new Discovery version of the Enterprise uniforms, with the Discovery version of the Enterprise.

Star Trek: Pike hasn't even been announced yet! Wait until they do, you'll be flooded with promotion material.

I do believe CaptainXaviOfEarth, that pre-production is on its way. I don't think the show is going to be called Strange New World, but I also have a hard time in believing it's going to be called Star Trek- Enterprise. Maybe CBS are, for the moment, thinking about doing just that, but in the end I think the show will be named differently. Just like Picard was originally being called Destiny...

My issue is being challenged, when it's because of me this forum even knows the show is in pre-production. Granted, I lifted the info from Production Weekly. I find it disrespectful.

To then be expected to entertain comments like this:

That and the fact that CBS All Access isn't going to try to magic some way to have two Star Trek: Enterprises on all access. It's just too damn confusing.

Where CBS has multiple shows with exactly the same title, including current shows like The Twilight Zone, MacGyver, SWAT, Hawaii Five-0, and at least 3 upcoming shows.

CBS knows its audience* aren't flatout dumbasses that can't tell the difference between the 2001 series and this new one.

"Oh fuck. There are two shows on Netflix called Battlestar Galactica. One looks old and says its from 1978. The other looks newer and says its from 2003. But which one is the newer one? This is too damn confusing."

* Well, most of it.

A lot of people know what's going on, which studio it is being shot at, and when but we wait for official announcements to be made because situations like this are fluid. When you run to a Trek board and post info you should expect to be questioned.

I'm not even going to BEGIN to say what my friend and real actor Javid Iqbal said about you while we were playing raquetball which we do quite often. BTW, there's no correlation between two ENT's and Twilight Zone's various reincarnations (including now on CBS All Access! Try it now for free! Available on Most Streaming Platforms) The various names of the series are to make sure they are differentiated, otherwise we'd just be watching a show called Star Trek for the last 50something years, including that confusing period in the 90's where there were two Star Treks running. And since the last Star Trek Enterprise was not exactly a resounding success, why on earth would anyone want to get their new flagship series confused with that?

Exactly. They may go through further placeholders until they come up with a final title.
