Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

So

Someone on another forum claimed Mount took a swing at Kurtzman and may have connected. Anson has changed his tune recently but after filming ended he was very open about what a miserable experience it was to work on Discovery.

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Benjamin Franklin said that, you know.

He accidentally thumped director Marta Cunningham in the face, and because this was just after the firing of the showrunners (on-top of CBS's track record for abuses against females and/or minorities), it had to be reported. It wasn't a major incident. If it was, I doubt James Frain (Sarek and also husband to Marta Cunningham) would be chummy with Anson Mount at various public appearances and promo.

I think there's no rush to do a Pike series because they planned to abandon the 3rd millennium after Picard and Lower Decks. I actually could see Lower Decks jumping forward in time anyway.

So, we have evidence? No?

I'll take Abraham Lincoln's advice then-the Internet is not always accurate. He said that in one of his addresses I believe.

"Star Trek: 1701" has been suggested a few times as a name, but some people might sadly assume that the show would therefore take place in the colonial period. A lot of folks are weak on history, and even weaker on historical dates. But some might still say, "Wait a second, I thought we didn't go into space until 1900...or something."

The common belief in the thread about it seems to be that Star Trek: Enterprise was merely the previous placeholder title.

After 50 years of tie-ins it's getting hard to find a good title, if you don't go for the Ship name.
Even "Strange New Worlds" was used for the short fiction contest books. Wonder if that's why the s was dropped.

So far, CBS hasn't registered a new trademark.

Maybe not needed since Star Trek Enterprise has obviously been registered before.
