He may have met and even talked with her, around the time when he assigned Sisko to command DS9 in "The Emissary".
Not to mention when the Enterprise visited DS9 again later that year (in Birthright). Things have already settled to a degree, so I'd find it more likely. The synopsis on Memory Alpha says he was negotiating the repair of Bajoran aqueducts with their government, I can imagine Kira was involved in that as the liaison assigned to DS9.

I know Kira doesn't really have a link to Picard. And I don't care. I just want to see her again.
Neither did Seven of Nine.

Dude, a good 60% of TNG doesn't hold up to their standards.

"Real Star Trek" is a myth.

The dirty secret of Star Trek is that most of it is quite awful.

Oh, it's fucking terrible.

But I still love it.

The original series was best described by Fry from Futurama as "Seventy-nine episodes. thirty good ones."

The one, the only SMG :)

More than Kira did, apparently.

Most likely we got 7 because she's hawt, which I have no problem with. I wouldn't mind seeing Kira in S2 if there's a good reason and depending on what they decide she's doing.

If we have to have a Bajoran, Ro makes more sense, especially at this point in JL's life. He's less likely to be judgemental about her choices.

Kira is probably my favorite Trek character of all time and I would absolutely LOVE to see her pop-up again somewhere, but unfortunately I can't think of a single way for her to show up in Picard (at least with the story they're currently telling) where it would make any sense.

Kind of surprised to see comments about how Seven has as little to do with Picard as Kira does. I mean yeah, Picard and Seven never had a scene together before now, but they do have a pretty big plot-point in common. I was actually more surprised to learn that apparently this series was the first interaction the characters had ever had, since I always just assumed the two would have met at some point after Voyager got home.

INT LA SIRENA BRIDGE- The tell-a-tell sparkle of a transporter beam catches the crew by surprise. As the beam dissipates a familiar figure appears: Kira Nerys, brandishing a phaser rifle
KIRA (As she fires the weapon at Picard) The Emissary sends his regards, you Borg loving bastard!!!

No? ;)

Mine too, at the moment. My 2-3 faves are usually quite close, but on my rewatch of early DS9, I've come to appreciate her even more. Even though I just got to the part where she got a new uniform... with high heels! *eyeroll*

I know, I said as much upthread. And forget about the Romulan/ cardasion secret service stuff I suggested upthread... I looked at a Star Trek map and realized these two (Ex) empires are so far apart that it would hardly make sense.

And in terms of viewers, TNG and VOY were much more "important"; there still many more fans who have seen the former and will appreciate legacy characters from there. Kira who?
