Doesn't rhyme. I'm sticking with Lore until proven otherwise. Then I'll claim it's a conspiracy.

"B4 is in the drawer" absolutely rhymes! It just doesn't have the same rhythm as "Lore in the drawer".

    It's not Data
    It's getting later
    Picard has it hard

Okay, I'll stop now. This is a shitty rap. :p

I don't see where what I wrote can't be that. There is obvious going to be some action in the show since we see several fights, shootouts, and some kind of attack in the trailer.
I don't see how it does, all that means is that this is just a group of civilians who aren't as spit and polish as the Starfleet crews we usually see. We have a cyberneticist, an ex-special forces operative, at least one Romulan, an ex-Starfleet Admiral, a teenage girl who might be some kind of Borg or android or something, and another Starfleet officer, sounds pretty motley to me.

I think the sequence of events might be more:
    • Dahj approaches Picard for help - damsel in distress plus mystery to solve, how can he resist?
    • Picard's first instinct is to take her to Starfleet
    • Dahj is attacked and possibly abducted right outside Starfleet HQ
    • Starfleet refuses to take action
    • But there's still a damsel in distress and a mystery to solve - Picard never could resist a mystery
    • Picard starts investigating on his own - discovers mass android production and meets Dr Agnes Jurati
    • Agnes is disturbed enough by what Picard tells her that she decides to join him on whatever mission he is planning (I suspect her research is being used for shady purposes without her knowledge)
    • Picard visits Troi and Riker - maybe for advice, maybe just to leave his dog with them while he's away!
    • I don't think they refer him to either Raffi or Rios though. It is said that he already knows Raffi and that they had a falling out in the past - I think he chooses to approach her off his own bat because he knows she has the skills he needs for his mission
    • Raffi then draws in Chris Rios (not Rio but Rios, I've seen it misspelled in a few places now) because he's her business partner and has the ship Picard needs to ferry him about on this mission - Rios doesn't want to get involved because of some traumatic incident in the past that drove him from Starfleet (possibly a different perspective on the same incident that also drove Picard from Starfleet?) but Picard talks him into it
    • La Sirena then provides Picard with off-world transport for whatever comes next - visit to a Romulan colony world where Elnor and Narek come aboard for whatever reason, or mission to locate and retrieve Dahj if she got recaptured, I don't pretend to know how the plot is going to unfold! But the above is roughly how I reckon it might begin.

I'm pretty sure that Elnor will be with Picard at the Vineyard. They've already said Picard has a group of Romulans at the Vineyard, Elnor is loyal to Picard, and we see him in what appears to be the Vineyard in one of the trailers.
I really think Dahj is going to be a member of the La Sirena crew right off the bat, not a captive they're going to rescue, but that one is a lot more guess work on my part.

It goes without saying there's going to be SOME action -- just not the nonstop FX-heavy action you find in Discovery or First Contact.

I was thinking more along the lines of butcher, baker, and candlestick maker.

What do you do when you can't get what you want? It's just too convenient, too tidy.

Discovery, especially Season 2, is not non-stop action.

However, I do hope that the action in Picard is minimized.

I think the plan is to have an action show (DIS), a kids show (Nickelodeon), a comedy show (Lower Decks), an experimental show (Short Treks), a dark spy show (S31), and a contemplative political show (PIC) so there's something for everyone. Pretty cool actually, who would have thought just a few years ago Trek would branch out like that?

Yeah, I thought that at first, but we do see her getting attacked outside Starfleet HQ and then Picard seems to be alone for the early stages of his investigation, including the confrontation with the admiral, so either he stashes her somewhere safe while he's doing all that (and where is safe if she's already been attacked on the steps of Starfleet itself?) or she is abducted early on and then rescued again fairly swiftly, perhaps within the first episode, with the remainder of the story (investigation into what the hell is going on?) playing out from there. She's said to be a major POV character so she is definitely with the crew for the bulk of the show, but there's no reason she can't get re-captured and then rescued again in the early stages of the season. And having her attacked and possibly abducted right in front of him, after coming to him for help, would certainly get Picard all fired up, especially if there's a mystery as to why all this is happening in the first place.

I like that the trailers have posed so many questions and possibilities - can't wait to find out the answers!

Seeing how Discovery was entirely different from episode 3 onwards, I'm curious how many episodes the footage we've seen are from and what the show becomes once Jean Luc has his merry band of Renegades together.

I thought Lower Decks was the Nickelodeon show.

Nope. The Nick show is still untitled, made for kids, and going to be 3D animated.

Lower Decks is going to be somwhat edgy adult humor, and done as a traditional 2D animated show.

What if it is Data in the drawer?

So you can see him firing at the reactor thingy. But you never see him actually being vaporized. And it's possible (never mind how unlikely) that his body survived the blast (through some technobabble) but his brain was wiped. Could be, may be...

Data would not have survived an explosion that took out an entire ship bigger than the Enterprise. The only way he could be in the drawer is if someone beamed him off the ship right before the blast. Let's say, Sela! Or even better: Nero! He has a knack for doing that (i.e. that was the explanation for how George Kirk survived the Kelvin explosion to come back in the defunct Trek 4). Data was dismantled and studied on Romulus, and was rediscovered when Picard led the exodus.

Of course I don't believe any of that would happen, but it's the only way to explain his presence in the drawer.

The more rational explanation is B4 malfunctioned, so the took him apart to figure out what went wrong (oh, and the whole mass-production of androids thing).

I've been wondering if Harry Treadaway's character - the Romulan Narek - is actually a main antagonist for the series - or at least the initial antagonist, who plays a role in Dahj's kidnapping. The last trailer certainly made it seem like he had ulterior motives beyond that of Picard's crew - and there are no scenes whatsoever with him on the ship or interacting with Picard.

It seems like the crew of Picard's ship - judging by the few shots we have seen - is limited to Picard, Rio, Musiker, Elnor, and Jurati.

Narek characters is in 7 episodes of Picard according to IMDB .He certainly can't be trusted. The Romulans want Dahj and want to know her secrets badly. Elnor doesn't like Narek and they're supposed to clash and not like each other very much. Some where at New York it was mentioned after they showed the latest Picard trailer.
