Honestly I'm not certain what was ever stopping him from completing his game.
nothing was.

Because Nerdidiotic (who's not so dumb in this instance, but I can't say the same for the people donating) and Abdin will probably be skimming here and there. Money...Money...Money...Money............MONEY! <-- as the old song goes. You know, I can't get over the fact how fishy that entire gofundme thing is. Like, 1k per hour for his lawyer?! I tried to find out average hourly rates for lawyers, which isn't easy since there are a lot of factors like location, work experience, prestige/demand, and specialization and while I found hourly rates of 1000$ per hour it was for

And I'm like ... that's the rate for a lawyer of the highest caliber, how are they justifying that rate for the lawyer who had to redo his filings more than once?I
(And don't get me started on the costs for "network experts" and "marketing".)

And for all those "poor Abdin..." folks - remember his OTHER promos for this game that liberally steal from Dino DeLaurentis production of DUNE; Stargate SG-1, and hell Star Trek TOS...yeah, "poor Abdin..." my a$$.
Well, that will certainly get some undeserved "RAGE" from more than a few folks.Plagiarism Today has written an open letter to Anas

Just as a data point: On a project I did some work on the entertainment lawyer employed to negotiate the contract had a minimum rate of $650 an hour. But he was a good lawyer and worth the money. You know, I can't get over the fact how fishy that entire gofundme thing is. Like, 1k per hour for his lawyer?! Abdin is a guy getting far more attention this way than he ever has before. I feel bad for him when these YouTube folks are done with him.
It looks like graphic adventure games I played back in the early 90s. There were always parodies hidden in the background like that.
You posted exactly what I was about to say.My issue is him claiming copyright infringement when he is also infringing on copyright in his own game. If he wasn't filing this lawsuit, I wouldn't care at all about his "homages" or "cameos". but when seen in light of his own lawsuit is not a good look.
Me too. I think I could get a lot more money than working this way.You posted exactly what I was about to say.
I may have to start my own fundraiser.
:P
Perhaps a mistranslation? Maybe he's trying to say the Nerdrotic has no plan, no strategy, or no clue?Anas did an interview about the appeal. the best part is nerdrotic has "no agenda"
