Enterprise wasn't really actiony from my recollection. Nemesis definitely was though. No, Enterprise and Nemesis predate that.
Enterprise's first episode involved Archer duel wielding phasers and Reed on a pretty constant pursuit of developing better weapons, including his own version of a phase cannon. It definitely had its actiony moments.Enterprise wasn't really actiony from my recollection. Nemesis definitely was though.
It gets tedious if there is too much of it. Like in almost all big blockbusters these days.I've never understood why "action" in Star Trek is viewed as such a negative by some people. It's a really bizarre thing to get hung up on.

Something...something...not real Star TrekI've never understood why "action" in Star Trek is viewed as such a negative by some people. It's a really bizarre thing to get hung up on.
Star Trek has had "actiony" episodes and movies goint all the way back to the beginning. TOS had stuff like Arena, Gamesters of Triskelion, and the Spock/Kirk fight in Amok Time, and TNG had Starship Mine. DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise also had quite a few action episodes throughout there runs too.
But it seems like a lot of people think Star Trek is immediately TEH STOOPID the minute there's an action scene. It seems a little reactionary and unfair. Like the show should just be briefing room contemplations and thoughtful negotiations every week.
And that doublefist! Somebody's always whipping that out!Star Trek has had "actiony" episodes and movies goint all the way back to the beginning. Discovery season 2 had very little action, depending on your point of view.
We didn’t get a single space battle until the finale. Person to person combat were in like what, 3 episodes?
I don't watch Big Action Hollywood Blockbusters anymore. I haven't in about five years, with very few exceptions (i.e. Wonder Woman or the NuTrek Movies). So I'm not as tired of action as everyone else is.
By the way, yeah, Star Trek never, ever, ever had action in it before. Nope. Never. Definitely not.
Cue "Amok Time".
Lorraine (in 1985): "I think it's terrible! Girls chasing boys. When I was your age I never chased a boy or called a boy or sat in a parked car with a boy."
Lorraine (in 1955): "Marty, I'm almost 18 years old. It's not like I never parked before."
I guess they use it to get new dishes and dispose of the remains.I'd bet that cooking raw replicated food tastes better than replicated cooked food. Or the replicator is like a microwave and everyone has one but the amount of use it gets varies from house to house.
Your first martini after centuries will probably be the best you ever had.Note that a 20th Century human describes the replicator's martini as the "best" he's ever had. And he would never have had replicated food before.
As Admiral, Kirk abused his position to take over from Decker, and in the process put the Enterprise in danger
Then he got a training crew killed on a personal vendetta, which led to the loss of the USS Grissom, and nearly brought the federation to war with the Klingons. His final act was to risk destroying the timeline and thus the entire Federation. Fortunately that panned our.
Kirk as an Admiral was as corrupt as all of them.
Pretty sure that's the same map that was at NYCC, minus some colour:
