Seven- meet icheb and naomi
I wonder if it's Icheb who she's cradling in the trailer.
I like the idea of Seven running the A-Team. She'd better get Barclay on board though....
Seven- meet icheb and naomi
We reach, brother! [makes the sign]Perhaps we need to look to Spock for the answer:
SPOCK: There are many who are uncomfortable with what we have created. It is almost a biological rebellion. A profound revulsion against the planned communities, the programming, the sterilised, artfully balanced atmospheres. They hunger for an Eden where spring comes.
I wonder if it's Icheb who she's cradling in the trailer.

She was a lot closer to Icheb, it would make more sense (aside from a Chakotay flashback). Do any of the novels have Seven & Hugh meeting?
We already knew Riker and Troi were coming back. Seven was a massive surprise.
YepAs I recall, 7 was revealed in the previous trailer before we learned that Riker and Troi were returning.
They kind of implied that as far back as that one Voyager episode's ending (the title eludes me), when they showed an army of EMH-looking holos scrubbing plasma conduits and/or mining dilithium on some remote asteroid. They all appeared to be getting used as a kind of state-sanctioned slave labor, even though a case could be made for sentience. Here's hoping not every single TNG character is retired or dead.
It seems Starfleet is trying to create that slave race Picard predicted in "Measure of a Man" after all. And with Romulan/Borg assistance no less.
I wonder if this Dahj character isn't an improved android akin to Data's mom, which would explain why Picard wants to help her.
The show isn’t out for another 3 months, things will change before release.I'm still going to say that the CGI from Enterprise, 20 years ago was better than Disco's.. Just more realistic.. Just seems that the new stuff went threw some cheap photoshop filter.. (Like filtering coffee thru a jockstrap) Ugh..
That's fair..just felt a bit down thinking no matter what happens, there is that STD future (what ever that involves) at the end of it...I don't know. How much does the 13th Century have to do with the 21st? I like gothic design and the medieval period is the backbone of a lot of fantasy, but otherwise...
The shot of Riker from behind, look at the far right, he seems to have a replicator slot.

Also DSC season 2’s CG is better than anything ENT did.
Great trailer.
Nice to see Riker and Troi there....I'm guessing that Will wasn't captain of the Titan long (I bet 5 years) and he and Deanna resigned from starfleet to live a normal life on Earth. Seems like that Riker and Troi couldn't keep going on with Starfleet due still feeling down on the loss of Data and wasn't the same without him to keep going with their Starfleet career.
I'd bet that cooking raw replicated food tastes better than replicated cooked food. Or the replicator is like a microwave and everyone has one but the amount of use it gets varies from house to house.
Later, it was retconned so that basically everyone agrees that replicated food is subpar and that "real food" is much better. This running gag continues through the latter seasons of TNG and all through DS9 and Voyager.
Why is that? One, the future is malleable, as demonstrated by a bunch of time travel stories. Two, is it reasonable to expect the Federation to endure perfectly for 1000 years? Political powers will struggle with difficulties, and not just wars or threats of war. They will struggle with things differing points of view, management of resources, and solving problems. That's fair..just felt a bit down thinking no matter what happens, there is that STD future (what ever that involves) at the end of it...
Apparently that's too boring for Star Trek, even though I would be totally on board.I always hoped that some day we would see a star trek home kitchen that had a holographic/replicator island where you could call up all the materials you needed for a recipe including the cooking surfaces, ingredients, and tools. A dream kitchen for the 21st century home cook.
