Not at all. I still think that Seven of Nine was one of the best things in ST: Voyager with Kathryn Janeway (and the vessel)! So, if we have more of her in Picard, I will certainly watch the show or at less episodes in which she will be.
Yes, I just read that too and I was very excited by the news. (though I'm curious to know why/how Jeri Ryan accepted play a recurring Seven in ST: Picard, the show while in 2001, she refused to reprise her role in ST: Nemesis, while it was just the time of a movie...). Again, I hope that after Seven, Adm. Janeway will appear too, afterwards. That being said, I already know that I won't be a regular viewer of ST: Picard. Never managed to hook with TNG so, I don't see why i should be with Picard which should re-use the same recipe but with more visual effects and a deep gap in timeline.
The Nemesis thing was a pointless cameo in the crowd at the wedding, and she had zero link to Riker and Troi who were getting married. In Picard, she's linked to him by them both being former Borg and presumably has something of value to contribute to the story. I really don't think PIC will be much like TNG at all. Patrick Stewart has said as much. It's a 10-part introspective story story about Picard with it's own flavour. I loved TNG growing up, largely can't stand it as an adult (aside from some solid gold episodes like "Yesterday's Enterprise" and others), but I'm hyped for The Picard Show. I might be hugely disappointed, but we'll see come January.
I completely agree on TNG... grew up (sort of) watching that series and tried it out as an adult and was sorely disappointed. However, I will try PIC on for size, especially since Seven makes a reappearance and Data was my fav thing about TNG back in the day.
That was eighteen years ago and a different project involving different people. Lord knows I wouldn't always make the same decisions now that I made eighteen years ago. Or maybe she just liked the script better . . . or is less worried about being typcast as Seven now that she's done other things for nearly two decades.
I remember people asking the same question when Nimoy returned in the 2009 movie. "Why did he say yes now when he said no to GENERATIONS?" Maybe because he was fifteen years older and at a different point in his life and career? Or maybe he just liked the script better.

Wasn't Frakes posting selfies with him recently? He was recently filming his Riker scenes for Picard. And Wheaton was there... Remember when they said Picard wasn't a reunion show?
Unfortunately, we will never see all of them together in a Star Trek series or movie again, no matter how the outcome of the series will be.
For a storyline about Holographic rights and/or his role of tutor towards Seven? Plus, I lately read too that Kate Mulgrew won't be against a Janeway's return in the ST: Picard so, we could get our trio again, even if in a recurring roles.
