So obviously in their "reimagined" version of the events from "The Cage," Colt was obviously not brought down with Number One by the Talosians, obviously -- maybe they took Lt. Mann instead.

And Tilly also implied in dialogue that more people were gonna stay because that's who they are, a family.

But "more" could be maybe a dozen more than the ones loitering in the corridor, not necessarily the whole crew compliment. Of course, it wouldn't be logistically sound to waste time transferring anyone who didn't want to go to the future over to the Enterprise at this point. Considering the original plan was for Burnham alone to take just Discovery itself, it made sense that maybe a bunch of people opted to go with her (basically, our core cast); but it was quite jarring that everybody on the ship had apparently decided, eh, what the hell, we'll all go too.

DISCOVERY is the first Trek which will be mainlined in two different century's.

My suggestion is to just retitle this Forum, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY - 23rd CENTURY (Season's 1 & 2)
then add a second below it, titled STAR TREK: DISCOVERY - 32nd CENTURY (Season 3+).

That doesn't seem necessary to me. It won't be "mainlined in two different centuries" at the same time. Season 3 (and beyond?) will simply be taking place in the future. It'll still be Star Trek: Discovery.

Once Georgiou sealed Leland in the spore room and he started melting, all the Section 31 drone ships started dying. By this point, Discovery hadn't entered the wormhole yet, and Control was already announced as defeated. Why was it still necessary if Control was defeated?

I suppose that even if Control/Leland was defeated, they still needed to remove the sphere data from the equation, in case one day something or someone else got a hold of it (another incarnation of Control or evil aliens or whatever). For the good of the universe, it was too dangerous to keep around and had to go.

Also, the end of the episode on the Enterprise REALLY makes me want a Mount/Romijn/Peck starring Star Trek show

Yeah the drones were so stupid. Is the Enterprise a Tardis now? Where did they all come from. Would have been so much better if it was just the Enterprise and Discovery against Section 31.
Also did anyone notice that the Discovery had no shields for 15 minutes but yet seem to show no damage when it went through the wormhole. Even in the Orville they show damage after it’s through a battle.

I keep thinking the Ba'ul are all dead, the one we saw on the ship was merely a projection because all their shit turned off when Burnham did her Red Angel appearance and it all shut off.

So its finders keepers and the Kelpians want to keep it and they have every right. If only a handful of Ba'ul are still alive what are they gonna do, not bloody much if they are only a handful. I think turnabout is fair play.

Oh and the Section 31 ships had a shit ton of drones, I think because the organics onboard were gotten rid of leaving space to store drones.

I just assumed the Kelpians ate them all and stole all their tech. That or the time-tsunami changed their society so that they were always the primary race.

Once control died and Disco’s shields were basically shot, why not go back to plan A and destroy the ship instead of jumping into the future? The pacing was odd,such that they had better options and time to react.

At that point, practically all the crew was still/again on board.
Going to the future let’s them live.
Blowing up the ship kills them all.

I‘d prefer option 1 as a Discovery crewmember.

This seems to have rather thrown a spanner in the works, since Trek BBS has the Discovery forum in a "2151 - 2270" section, but now it's not.

When I was a member here years ago, the series were not clumped together by time frame; they had a section (each series with its own forum) and the movies had a section. When I came back and saw the current arrangement, it was hard to see the point. Was it the old human need to categorise everything to the nth degree?

I don‘t really care about how you clump things together, but Discovery threw a wrench into the current system anyway, because it just stopped being a 23rd century show.
A system change will be in order as soon as season 3 starts (right now, it‘s a major spoiler)

There was no hurry, they obviously could have evacuated the ship first.

If the Sphere Data genuinely felt threatened again it may have thrown up a Hail Mary to stop Discovery getting destroyed. e.g. Warping off in to parts unknown and starting the whole cycle again. It didn't do this during the battle as it'd no doubt figured out Leland would't destroy Discovery, just disable it.

And this is why you disable the warp core first. This is not hard. The whole idea that they couldn't figure out a way to destroy one ship is so blatantly absurd that it utterly ruins the whole pathos of them leaving. They didn't need to do it. It was an utterly idiotic plan.

How? It doesn't have magic powers. This is just stupid. In the history of Trek we have seen countless times people fighting tooth and nail in effort to stop a ship from being destroyed. There are countless ways to break them. And idea that having some data on the hard drive could somehow prevent all of them is just utterly ludicrous.

Emergence (TNG S7E23) involved the Enterprise-D's computer developing self-awareness and running amuck. At several points the crew were unable to control the ship's navigation, bring it out of warp, or do any other reasonable things you'd expect because so much of the ship is dependent on computer control. I'm sure they would have explored possibilities like ejecting the warp core (to be retrieved later). Nothing worked.

The Foresaken (DS9 S1E17) the space station suffers from similar control problems due to an intelligent computer virus taking over key systems, known as 'pup'. This too began with a download of data from an alien probe that came through the wormhole.

My guess is, they didn't just get data. They got consciousness as well. It's good at disguising itself and is living quietly in the corner of Discovery's systems meddling in ways that prevent it from getting erased.
