I’m pretty sure Memory Alpha is wrong as the dates haven’t been announced as far as I know. We’ll see
I see where they got it from, they said in January the next two would air after Season 2 ended, but they didn’t give exact dates, so someone on there is speculating

I really wish we got some on screen confirmation that they jumped 950 years into the future. Though I think it will be an interesting way to have a cold start to the next season be a huge WTF.

Basically huge cliffhanger now. Huge WTF opening with mental adjustment during the credits

I'm hoping they don't happen until maybe this summer. Let's get a little break before diving into new short treks.

Solid 8 here. Technobabble at critical!

Excellent battle sequence, a real budget buster. Actual story? Actually weak. Was I entertained? Yup, and that’s what really matters.

And yes, that ending was a HUGE troll for a Pike/Spock Enterprise series .... and I loved it

I really, really hope they have this more thought out than just "Hey, let's go way into the future and figure it out later."
If they did, they would've shown us. They're pulling the exact same trick they did last season with having the Enterprise showing up out of nowhere with no indication of why or what it could lead to, committing to a seed of a premise for the next season and hoping they'll come up with something worthwhile later since they've burned down the rest of their premise and ongoing arcs.

I got enough of Treks future with the Berman years.
I'm not especially looking forward to another 900 year jump.
:angryrazz:
It's not really about the specific number of years. It's about the ability to set up a new galactic arrangement of powers and what not. It allows for freedom to tell stories and not be hemmed in by canon issues. Before the premise behind Discovery was announced, I thought they were going with post Nemesis series for these reasons. This is effectively the same thing. I was surprised Discovery was going to be a prequel, although if I had to set it at some pre-Nemesis time, they did what I would've done.

I think it's a good thing. Now they can do whatever they want to story wise. Eliminates most of the canon baggage.

That's probably the case.

A pretty boring finale. Absolutely nothing shocking happened. I was expecting at least one surprise and/or twist. 5/10

Oh well.... Let’s hope that Picard show is any better.

I doubt they will do any "fall of the Federation" stories, especially if it's only one season. Robert Hewitt Wolfe proposed that as a series idea when he was on the DS9 staff and it was rejected, so later on he turned it into Andromeda.

So the entire crew of the Enterprise, All the Klingon personel, inside all the ships, and all the Kelpians will keep the secret of Discovery from the federation.
It just amazes me how real these writers can make a science fiction show.
The CBSAA cancellations have officialy begun.

The guy who's in charge of the production said 950 Years.
How much more of a confirmation does one need?
