I've always liked this shot:

Yes, they said that. Maybe it's lenses or shot angles, but it certainly looked in TOS like Kirk could reach out while standing in the pit and touch the people working the perimeter while in DSC it looks like there's no way in heck that could happen. It looks like an awful lot of floor space between the outer stations and the railing, but maybe that's just because the floor is so reflective, trick of the eye and all that.
I really don't believe that it is the same size, even ignoring the corridor. The distance between the inner circle and the outer consoles seems significantly larger and the inner circle is probably somewhat larger as well. I'd love to see a blueprint of this.Yes, they said that. Same.I hate to admit, but their version of the 1701 exterior is growing on me.
I like this bridge photo from that article. It really feels like the classic Enterprise bridge while at the same time being a modern version of it.
I don't see how it's unimaginative or clumsy.
One's an historic replica and the other is a contemporary set in current use. Different applications; apple's and oranges.
The floor polishing robots made a constant whirring sound that bugged him to no end. Perfectly understandable.I guess the bridge carpeting is installed sometime before 2265. Kirk could have requested it.![]()
