Is anyone else a fan of the delightfully macabre work by Edward Gorey, namely his 1963 art book The GashlycrumbTinies that (ostensibly) teaches kids their ABCs with dark twisted humor? It's great stuff if you don't mind the dark humor of young children dying in horrible ways ;) .

It starts:

A is for Amy who fell down the stairs
B is for Basil assaulted by bears
C is for Clara who wasted away
D is for Desmond thrown out of a sleigh

Your post reminds me of that book.

Here's a DSC version of it, but since I can't think of enough DSC characters who died who could fill in the ABCs in order, I'm going to cheat and skip a few letters:

A is for Airiam, blown out an airlock
C is for Connolly, smashed by a rock
G is for Georgiou, impaled with a mek'leth
H is for Hugh, neck snapped upon his last breath

Not familiar with the aforementioned work. The contemplation of mortality is a vital lens which makes life nearer and dearer every moment...

If they are hitting the reset button, then they might as well let it all hang out.
If it is all building to a reset then they can pretty much do what they like, even if its only a partial one.

However for them to truly become the Borg they have to be sent to the Delta Quadrant for it to line up with the timeline as that is where the Borg are believed to originate when they are encountered by Picard and then again by Janeway.

Even so it would be a big jump for an already pure AI to decide it needs organics to evolve, especially as the Borg considered Data to be close to perfection.

Some things point to it being the Borg while others bring it in to question.

I'd prefer it if Control was deconstructed to inhabit a floating conch shell with display face that acts as a supervisor to one exiled Jesse doing hard time on planet Earth...

This song kinda fits Leland as he is now.

The whole Borg thing raises way more questions than I think it is worth it. There is little, if anything, that would actually make me want to see the Borg in DSC and it could be what pushes me away from this show.

I've always loved the Borg. Besides, we haven't seen them since 2002. I have a feeling we're about due for an appearance.
It's been a nice run without them. I don't see any need to have them come back. I don't know what they could possibly add.
This is really surprising coming from you. Well, now you know how I feel about the Section 31 and the Sporedrive!
Yes, I guess I do. Yes, I do not like the Borg. Yes, it would be one thing to push me away from Discovery because the Borg are overdone, watered down and ruined. To my mind they are a creative dead end with little (if anything) that could be added to their lore.

But, I'm sure there are those who will love it. I hope they enjoy their Borg.
