That began to mimic Leland just before the eye thing and responded to Ash that he had the power needed to close the rift. Leland was on the floor and out of actionSection 31 using Mirror universe computers? It has a male voice
Wait, is the consensus that Leland is dead? I took it that he was infected and would be reanimated by Control. Something about the effect they did on his eyeball. Or did I misread that?
I kind of hope that's the end of him, as having another double agent after Airiam might be a bit much for me.
Parts of the episode were a "6/7" but other parts were an "8/9," particularly the performances, the Spock/Burnham discussion, everything with Michelle Yeoh, and the last 10 mins.
It was a bit of a schizo experience as a result.
But, ultimately, the characters and performances, coupled with a satisfying reveal, push this to an 8. Pretty damn fun. Makes me want next week to be right now.
I assume Control killed him or took him over. In the novel version, Control is in all Federation tech so I imagine it’s something similar here.I do not share the love for this episode. Halfway through, I pushed the fast forward to see the ending.
What did happen to Leland at the end?
I thought Burnham's mom looked a little Asian. Looking it up, the actress playing her, Sonja Sohn, is half Korean.
It's funny how the time crystal powering the suit ends up with Picard...
You don't believe me?

Didn’t she used to be a monster?
1. They're not Orcs, so don't call them that. They had to bring back the Orcs for the next episode. We were doing so well.
I guess I can't blame her. If I could time travel, I'd go back to The War of 1812 to see what Napoleon was up to.![]()
Good question. Very good question.Looking back to "New Eden", it must be asked: what brings Burnham's mother to WWIII Earth?
