No, it doesn’t “imply”— it *shows* you history was changed by the Angel’s intervention.
That still doesn’t mean it’s an alternate timeline from TOS.

I'm more concerned they were using the non remastered Cage for some of that. It threw me off. What was up with the clips from The Cage at the beginning of the episode? I know they wanted to connect this episode with The Cage but that montage of clips with the funny editing was a bizarre way of doing it.

That still doesn’t mean it’s an alternate timeline from TOS. Nothing in the episode says that.
Hmmmnnn....
It would be really weird if They explain that the Original Series is NOT how things should have looked.
That TOS is an off-shoot time line, that never was supposed to happen the way we saw it.

Again, people, MELISSA GEORGE!
I don’t think they would have done that previously on segment if that were the case.Hmmmnnn....

The Talos stuff was fun but I wanted to see the damaged door and blown phaser gun.
Yeah, you're probably correct.I don’t think they would have done that previously on segment if that were the case.
CBS offers non remastered TOS on their service. Probably used what they already offer.I'm more concerned they were using the non remastered Cage for some of that. It threw me off.
I LOVED how they chose that specific insult because it ties into TOS' This Side of Paradise. Kirk uses that slur to anger Spock, and now we see why it works so well!She's full of guilt ("half-breed" is an awful, terrible thing to say, their equivalent of our racial slurs, and he was so little when she said it);
I just said the same thing in another thread!Awesome. I loved how much Burnham's insults paralleled Kirk's insults in 'This Side of Paradise'. No wonder that pissed him off so much in spite of plant spores and Vulcan logic.
What you read was an illusion.I just said the same thing in another thread!
Also, it's interesting to note that this is basically the same way nuKirk got to nuSpock in ST'09. To deny that he is capable of love.
KIRK: What is it like not to feel anger or heartbreak or the need to stop at nothing to avenge the death of the woman who gave birth to you?
SPOCK: Back away from me...
KIRK: You feel nothing! It must not even compute for you! You never loved her!
Now I have illusion, and you have reality. What you read was an illusion.
May you find your way as pleasant. Now I have illusion, and you have reality.
