General order 7 may not be in play yet. Perhaps it was put into place after this incident, maybe something to do with the red angels.

Were they male, or did they just dub over with male voices to make them sound more alien?

 

I was thinking about that. Will we see Vina next week and who will play her?

 

Kirsten Dunst? or maybe Alice Eve?

 

If we see Vina, would she be the beautiful illusion of Vina or the deformed reality?

 

They should be thin and wan and antisexual. Maybe they'll give the dude a high-pitched voice, but the little glimpse makes me fear they'll be much less cool than the ones from 50+ years ago.

 

The answer to that question is yes.

 

Memory-Alpha seems to think they’re male. Maybe it was in some BTS info, or someone may have used male pronouns in the episodes

 

I have no idea. But I'm loving the shameless tie-in's to TOS, just like I enjoyed the hell out of season 4 of ENT. Discovery certainly got my attention with this episode. LOL

9/10 from me. Loved the Talos IV setup. If Pike doesn't get his own series,I'm going to be pissed.

 

I thought that at first too, but I think it may have been more about Leland and Burnham’s parents.

 

Personally, I'm hoping for a post Menagerie series featuring Pike as a 23rd century version of Ironside.

 

Ok, according to memory-alpha all the scripts and outlines said the character of the keeper was Male, but they wanted him to look feminine so they cast a female actor

 

The actors in the makeup were female, but the main Talosian voice was actually done by the actor who played Commodore Mendez. The original version has his voice low, but when "The Menagerie" was made, the voice was altered. The restored version of "The Cage" also keeps the altered voice.

Yeah, if she doesn't show up, we can all just assume that she's down in the zoo with Illusion Pike.
