USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

^^^ all jest aside, I think you might be onto something... also, Mirror Stamets is still at large isn't he?

The fact that Discovery highlighted multiverses accessible via shroomdrive tech, kinda implies that different 'verses exist and will be looked at within the series - otherwise, why overtly show such a thing, if it were not a significant plot component to be further explored (evidently, the Mirrorverse plot point was introduced fairly early into the first season).

So it stands to reason that there's potentially more than one enterprise to be showcased on Discovery.

In what sense? He was phasered to bits in his respective universe. Although I guess his Nexus Shadow might survive in the network somehow.

This could be a recurring motif. A bit like the Temporal Cold War in ENT. I'm sort of hoping it won't be...

Liquid metal hull that can morph to suit the crews needs?
Oh man yes please!

One of the best kid sci-fi movies from the 80s!

It's an off camera BTS shot, for all we know that's not the final image, it might not even be in focus in the final version.
Right, and it's a schematic so it's definitely not a final CGI rendering and the actual hull coloring could look completely different in reality as most real things would differ to schematics. The straight pylons i'm not excited about until I see the real ship with them.

That's what makes it really odd, they've had the angled pylon model since probably December or January 2018 at the earliest. Several months before they started production. It's a really odd error to make.

Drawing Starbase One in Earth orbit when it's 100AU out is an odd error to make, especially since they could have just cut a few words in post and fixed it.

I guess it's the Discovery way.

More like the Trek way........all the others have been full of mistakes as well.

This particular comeback is starting to grate on me almost as much as "but what about Hilary?!" in any political discussion. Shouldn't newer shows with more money and a lesser production schedule strive to eliminate errors that other shows made in a mad dash to meet production deadlines?

so uh, i nabbed this from the eaglemoss facebook fan group (where folks in the UK are getting their disco-prise):

this enterprise has a "battle mode" and "exploration mode" where the front of the bridge can transition from opaque to translucent.

There's a little arrow in the illustration, so maybe there's a rotating wall like the transporter in the old Mego bridge playset.

(That's my Trek deep dive for today.)
