Australia uses foreign (offshore) detention centres to prevent boat people and illegals getting in without correct 'processing'. It's not exactly anything to be proud of either. They don't call it illegal for nothing though and we don't have nearly the numbers the US has in its country (which is not imaginary). Some of these refugees are so miserable living in the detention centres they try to kill themselves. I think it's a mess. For genuine refugees they flee from horrors only to end up being housed with others who might be queue jumping. However it IS a political hot potato.

They don't own the show, it's not their rights at all. Casey-Something company owns the show and wants to make money. Disney wants a spinoff because it was the highest rated scripted show this season.

The company in question is called Carsey-Werner LLC (also comprises Carsey-Werner Distribution LLC.)

Roseanne needs to get mental health help, and that's all there is to it as far as I'm concerned (I think that this might be the cause of her Tweet.) Either that, or she should just retire.

Kindergartens are cages, and if they were not, the parents needing that time off to usually work, would be outraged.

Non-verbal or non-english speaking children under the age of 7ish need constant human supervision, or a leash, or they are going to run into traffic.

Speaking of the parents. They choose to bring their children into situations that might be illegal or even threatening. Where's their responsibility?

Trump just changed the asylum process a couple weeks ago.

Until a few weeks ago, when these people were crawling through the desert, looking for America, this couldn't have happened because the law didn't work that way.

If you are in fear of your safety and that of your family asylum and refugee status should be granted on grounds of compassion and humanity. Sneaking over borders, knowing you are going the illegal route is a tougher road.

Then there are those whose paperwork and processing holds them in limbo. They once again remind me of Australia's shame.

No sneaking.

The process was that you show up at the border, you ask for asylum, they let you in, and then you wander about with some distant supervision until your hearing to see if you deserve asylum.

These people thought that they were handing themselves over under the old rules, which was safe.

It's not safe anymore.

You are put and a camp, and your children are stolen.

I thought it was reversed?

Should they leave their children behind where they'll get killed? Because they're fleeing for their lives, there isn't really time to hire a babysitter.

Well they should, but Republicans aren't granting it to them because their skin is too brown. They're doing everything they're supposed to do, but racists decided that they don't deserve asylum and charged them with crimes. Claiming that they're intentionally doing something illegal is just repeating propaganda from racists.

We have people that have fled from war zones or persecution still stuck in detention centres being processed. It's not what I thought was the Australian way. Then there are those who need to be examined more closely, it is not always an issue of humanity. Problem we have here is that these poor people are stuck in these offshore places that look like prison camps :(

While it's not a solid confirmation, that does seem like that's what they're going to do. I guess it's the simplest and easiest way to deal with her.
