There are two things about SGA that really annoy me:
- They didn't make Sheppard Teyla's baby daddy, instead they created some random (and pretty dreary) character to knock her up,
- Woolsey taking command.
I would have had them get together by the end of season one and keep them till the end. That way the baby would be theirs; being a child from both galaxies, possessing the wraith and Ancient genes.
Not yet, but that's on my list to get.Speaking of Stargate, has anyone read those pre tv show novels that are set after the movie? Are they any good?
It’ll be interesting to see another take on the franchise
Got hooked on SG-1, really liked Atlantis, LOVED Universe. Really chapped my hide when they axed it!Loved SG1 for the most part (it lost its way a little in the middle admittedly), but somehow never quite got hooked into Atlantis or Universe.

I've got them and read 3 of them. They're not bad. Nice worldbuilding.Speaking of Stargate, has anyone read those pre tv show novels that are set after the movie? Are they any good?

I don't know if I necessarily would have gotten her together with Sheppard at that point, but I do agree it was a bit strange the way her baby daddy just kind of popped up out of nowhere. I understand their options were a bit limited once they decided to write Rachel Luttrell's pregnancy into the show, but still think they could have handled it all better. There are two things about SGA that really annoy me:

I thought Woolsey was a better fit for Atlantis than Carter, even though I honestly can't remember much of what happened in season 4 and 5 (to the point that, for a long time, I forgot Carter was on the show).
i think that was intentional though since the reason she was in it in the first place was that her contract (like the rest) still had one season of Stargate SG-1 on it. Since that was randomly canceled she opted rather than to be bought out of her contract to do one season of Atlantis part time. The problem the show had was that they didn't know what to do with her character. The majority of the time she was absent and Sheppard was shown to be in command. By the end of the scene her leaving was like "Okay. She was never really there anyways. Moving on.
Some fans did a jokey protest outside the studio and a producer came out to meet them dressed in a black suit. Was there fan outcry? I watched that show back in the days where I wasn’t online frequently.
All I remember is that in the UK, they aired it months before America got it (with Canada being the only country that got it first) and so there wasn’t any talk about it online.
I remember when Daniel Jackson died, I went on online trying to find if it was a permanent thing and no one was discussing it.
