Klingons appearance - history repeats itself

I would guess that depends upon the orientation of them. Though the urine streams in the season finale suggest they're arranged on on top of the other rather close together, which would be...errm...compatible with human biology.

It is grand to be discussing such fine points with so educated a mind, I am sure you agree. XD
(This is said in the voice of Elim Garak, for full effect. Lol.)

But only if the human partner were both able and above all willing to be so accommodating, which for many might be...a dubious proposition? (Pun so totally intended!) Especially as Klingons seem to like it pretty rough. And then there's the "earthy, peaty" smell to contend with...

(On a darker note, amidst all of this fun, I just had a mental flash of what was implied to have happened to Burnham's mother, and now I feel a bit guilty...:()

There's nothing wrong with discussing alien biology. Lord knows we discuss everything else Trek, after all.

If anything, Trek's been way too conventional with humanoid procreation. If not flat out unrealistic, having species being able to interbreed with one-another, in some case, without medical intervention.

"Bla-bla Protohumanoids," I know. 1) you're an apologist hack. 2) the Protohumanoids did not affect anywhere near the number of humanoids we've seen, from this galaxy or others.

Maybe if we were more accustomed to discussing procreation/-ive biology, we'd get more interesting stories about them.

Was it actually stated Klingons have two penises? Perhaps the drunk Klingon had a urinary tract infection or was deformed in some way down durrrrr.

Wow, what a visual...
Coming in the front door AND the back door at the same time.
Now there's a 'house' I'd like to visit more often!

Logically Klingon women must also possess two vaginas and two wombs. Double the chances of a successful Klingon pregnancy. He said aloud as he pondered exactly what his life had become.

I’ve pondered this too, but the low incidence of twins shown in the show, zero infact, suggests that something else is going on.

Warrior race, survival of the fittest begins in the womb with a foetal battle to the death. Too dark?

Maybe the biological duplication arises from their equipment leading to a parallel conception creating two zygotes that merge to form single symbiotic Klingon.

which would lead to increase genetic diversity as well as possibly explain the redundant systems in the first place.

And possibly explain why humans and romulans have zero problem breeding with Klingons, but Trill, who also have some complex systems, would find it difficult...or only joined trill. Or perhaps because in Torres and the romulan prison planet girl whose name I forget, the Klingon was mother, whereas for Worf and Jadzia, the mother is non-Klingon.
So it’s possible Klingon females can interbreed with other other ‘preserver’ species humanoids easier than the Klingon male can, despite basic biomechanical logistical compatibility.
This is an oddly serious post, and the only joke I can think to add are all terribly inapproprite.

Seems reasonable. I’ll wager the producers haven’t given it a fraction of this level of thought.

That’s no reason not to add it.

Chiplolata. Royal Albert Hall. Fill in the blanks xD. Based on something I I heard a lady say about someone once.

and yes, I doubt the producers give it much thought, because it’s not really the world building needed on screen, but thinking about these things (and taking that approach in general) usually leads to better world building. There’s a reason Tolkien practically invented a genre when he did it.
