It would actually be pretty sweet if he played a guest role. They could make him an alien if they really wanted to prevent people going ZOMG ITS WILL RIKER. He's certainly not the strongest actor in the history of the franchise, but he has his strengths and there are certain types of character he'd be great as.

It could be fun to see him as a Klingon, but I also think it would be a bit of a waste of his talents. He was always at his best when playing the charmer with that shit-eating grin of his. He'd be great as a conman or the like.

I think he had a cameo as one of the orion sex slaves in the finale.

He had nice stuff to say about DS9 and I'm glad he's not like Marina who always refers to he show the Deep Sleep Nine. She evidently slept through the Dominion stuff. It would be great to see Frakes appear in front of the screen on Discovery as any character. Just so he can say he has been in every Star Trek show to date.
