USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

Boy, those bridges and center seats look quite Klingon-y to me. Here is Klaa's chair from TFF. And speaking of center seats, Voyager's 'saucer' has always immediately reminded me of an elongated toilet seat. Seems like they should have been able to do much better than they did:

I can't un-see a garden trowel when looking at Voyager. I'm also not a fan of those stubby, atrophied nacelles. I get that it was supposed to depict advancement, but the same basic shape looks infinitely better with the big Enterprise-E nacelles.

I always liked the Defiant from DS9 myself, its short and to the point.

Weapons at the front, engines at the back, maximised use of internal space with no obvious weak points that scream "shoot me here to hamstring me".

Voyager looks like a Spoon with little stubby wings, it looks as damp as its Captain quite frankly.

The Kelvin 1701 and especially the 1701-A look like my kind of women.

That was the first thing I thought of back in 1995
Shutta yo facccee! It's ana amazing ship!
Youiza soooo wrong!

The Enterprise-E is basically Voyager on steroids with much better nacelles and a nicer primary hull.

I don't dislike the Voyager design, but it's so-so for me, especially as the nacelles are smallish and their "variable" configuration is pretty damned fixed.

Just adjust that front end and I would be ok with it. I like the Defiant in concept, especially the more compact design, but that front end just...ugh.

Indeed. Better lines overall.
I love the Galaxy class, too. It's a real design.
As opposed to all the fake designs we've seen around?

True the front end was a bit nondescript but it is full of weaponry and very shooty so I let it pass based on that.

It also has the only fully-integrated warp nacelles of that era and something else we wouldn't see again in a Federation starship until DSC and "The Battle of the Binary Stars." There's at least one starship in the 2250s (the Shran?) that's essentially a saucer with warp nacelles integrated into the primary hull.
