Spoilers Supernatural Season 13

I only have one complaint--he was practically unrecognizeable, and if I hadn't seen the name in the credits I wouldn't have believed it. I also missed the fact that his mouth was sewn shut (pointed out on another recap site), but still...excited for what this means! March can't get here quick enough!

That certain someone cant be alive, he was killed in Season 5 episode 19. We had the body and with wings that go with it. Plus I'm sure God (Chuck) would of known he was still alive 2 season ago and used him to help him with Amara. This is total canon break for me. Plus if he was in hell I'm sure as hell Lucifer or Crowley would of used him or Lucifer would of done something with him. Just not working for me. If they were going to bring someone back, it should of been Michael (Deans/Sams brother meat suit)

Plus this show has made the Arc Angels that were once treated as absolute power, very very weak.

[Englishmajorvoice] Should HAVE [/Englishmajorvoice]

Supernatural tends to play fast and loose with "canon;" there's dead and then there's Supernatural-dead. Also, I'm thinking this is alternate-universe someone since our guy was well and truly dead. He probably came through or was pulled through a crack in the universe (the alt-universe we've seen or maybe even another??) and is now in the clutches of Asmodeus & friends.

Is it possible Asmodeus went back in time to collect him?

We know a Knight of Hell, Abaddon, has the ability, given the right spell. Princes of Hell like Asmodeus seem to be almost as powerful, and he could very well have cooked up the time travel recipe... using 11 herbs and spices.

Speaking of the dead, I miss Jo, Ellen and Ash

I've been thinking about the shot of Gabriel there at the end. Couple of questions:
1) How precisely would a Prince of Hell, even one as sinister as Asmodeus (and let's be honest, anyone who dislikes fried chicken is without a doubt S-I-N-S-T-E-R), incapacitate an archangel? Even if Gabriel is the youngest of the four, he still showed an insane amount of power in his season 5 appearance. How, then, could Asmodeus have gotten the upper hand, let alone maintained it long enough to imprison him?
2) For that matter, just how is Gabriel being imprisoned? How is he being held captive? The cell showed no sign of warding. Lucifer seemed to think that if he was at full power, warded or not, he'd be able to demolish the asylum at will. Is there a reason Gabriel couldn't do likewise?
3) Why is his mouth sewn shut? To prevent his fleeing the vessel? (Again, why?) It makes no sense to me...especially since even if he allowed it to happen, in theory he should be able to snap the thread and heal the wounds to his vessel.

I heard about this at work Tuesday. It is somewhat amusing that the one thing in a company's name they are out of.

There have been several times down here in Miami when my wife would go to Pollo Tropical, and they said they were out of chicken. Pollo is chicken is spanish, so I laughed at that. Those situations, however, I think they were just being shady... Pollo Tropical had introduced new meats at the time, meats that did not prove very popular. I think they had plenty of chicken and were lying and just trying to pimp out their new items. Or at least, go through the product faster so it wouldn't spoil to prevent loss of money, not realizing that a LOT of people would simply just go somewhere else.

In this case, with a supplier issue, there really isn't much they can do. I wonder why they changed suppliers. Cheaper? Better contract?

This hellatus is killing me. I am dying to see the next episode. The Netflix-Binge-Watch has totally ruined me; I want to watch my shows NOW and several episodes in a row.

and the hellatus is just about over!

Tonight's episode: Good Intentions.
"Jack and Mary escape Michael's clutches and end up finding an ally in Bobby Singer; Sam, Dean, and Castiel continue to search for a way to open a breach; one of their own may be working against them and costing them precious time."

Can't wait!

Looks like next week is filler, and then there's another mini-hellatus...but after that don't we get the Scooby Doo episode? Seems like that was going to be episode 16.

This was a good episode. Some more setup for the back half of the season.

The Gog and Magog scene was funny.

But the best line goes to Dean, as always. And he pretty much summed up my attitude on life, as well.

"Dude, if bacon's what kills me, then I win."

It's like the writers somehow tapped into my brain, and created Dean from me. I have never seen a character on tv or film that mirrors so much of my personality and self than Dean Winchester.

I'm more of a Sam. :rommie: Although I've got a little Dean in me. But I'm probably more like Charlie than either of them. :rommie:

Well, so much for Gog and Magog. They were hilarious while they lasted, but their sandy stuffing was creepy-- they were like those things you put in the microwave and then wrap around your neck when you pull a muscle. And Cass "thought they went extinct in the flood." Apparently the Biblical flood was real in Supernatural world. I wonder if Dean and Cass kept their swords-- if they were touched by Chuck, they might be just as effective as Angel blades.

Poor Donatello came to a pretty bad end, and all because Amara ate his soul. You'd think she would have given it back once she and Chuck made nice. But now Cass has the spell and Asmodeus' plan has suffered a bit of a setback. It may not matter, though, considering those ingredients: An Angel's grace, a fruit from the tree of life, the Seal of Solomon, and the blood of a most holy man. Who will the most holy man be, I wonder? Shaggy or Fred? :rommie: Actually, the ingredient that intrigues me the most is the fruit. Perhaps Cass will bring them to the Garden of Eden. Since Cain was introduced, I've always wondered if Adam and Eve would ever show up.

Meanwhile, we've finally got Mary back, and she's teamed up with Apocalyptic Bobby-- who is the same in any universe, apparently. And Jack is getting pretty good at frying Angels. It seems ever more likely that my prediction of him either staying in the other universe after killing Michael or sacrificing himself to kill Michael will come to pass.
