I’m loving Discovery for multiple reasons. I need to see another season (soon!) before I could accurately rank it against the other Star Trek series. However, in the previous series, I never started out hating every character, then coming to love every character, and now to being on edge that they are going to kill another one that I now love. I’ve got a level of engagement with this show I don’t think I’ve ever had in the past.

Got it.
Fair enough people need to pay for it (and other shows) in their subscription. I do, that is one of the reasons I have watched because I'm bloody well paying for it. Next season - probably not. At the end of this month cycle it (Netflix) goes. However back to the article. Credibility for the hyperbolic unstoppable monster shout is all talk, literally. People talking about it - wahoo. Further in the piece we have this uncomfortable fact "All of this should be good news for CBS All Access, but the company isn’t releasing numbers of subscribers for its streaming service."
