Spoilers The game changing Voq theory

He could be trapped in a human body and stuck for the remainder of his natural life as an Earther. If the Augment virus is somehow involved in his change in physical appearance then he could become the first "Augment" Klingon we see in the new series.

Ash Tyler isn't Voq...
Voq is Kol

I think it may be a moment between Mary Chieffo and the actor playing Kol between takes on set.

I think it's abundantly clear that Shazad Latif played Voq. I don't think there's even plausible doubt. He was probably recast as Tyler too late to change that, maybe even after the first episodes were shot.

However, this does not mean that Voq and Tyler are the same person. There are a lot of reasons why that strains credulity and a lot of other possibilities for Voq's story line that make more narrative sense.

If it is truly that innocent of a reason, why make up a name for Voq's actor? Why not say Shazad is playing Voq?

Yeah it's a behind-the-scenes shot that Kol actor Kenneth Mitchell tweeted the other day. It's clearly pre-"Choose Your Pain" too, since L'Rell doesn't have the scarring on her face yet.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of L'Rell's profile view, that head be crazy looking.

However, I am less critical of the female Klingon house leader with the headdress. I love her overall look (the headdress really helps) but the again in profile view the head looks crazy.

Yeah, if it was just an actor playing 2 roles, there would have been no reason to hide it and create a fake actor name for one of the roles.

It is possible that this (not well disguised) twist will be revealed in this week's mid-season finale. I certainly hope they don't wait until the end of the season. I rather they get it out of way asap since it won't be a surprise to anybody.

If Tyler is Voq, that's incredible spy stuff. His human behavior is perfect. Not a hair out of place.

That would be like a download of Tyler into Voq. Not sure if the pre-TOS era has that kind of tech.

The mind-sifter rips information from the brain, it might work that way.

We're only 10 years before TOS, we don't know when this tech was invented.
