Spoilers The game changing Voq theory

@The Mighty Monkey of Mim The Klingon and Human brains are not a unknown quantity; Kobliad brains kind of were.

Also, why would there be a different version of the Augment Virus in play? That doesn't make any sense.

If the Klingon scientists created the one virus we know about, it's certainly possible they created other strains we didn't hear about until now. Either at the same time, or later than the 2150's.

Klingon and human brains kind of are too. And certainly moreso in the 2250-60s than in the 2360-70s I should think.

Also, why would there be a different version of the Augment Virus in play? That doesn't make any sense.
Because it's a hundred yeas later? Because the resources were readily available to try again and only required the will of an interested party? Because viruses that mutate once can conceivably mutate again? Because if the test subjects weren't screened properly in the first place then Levodian flu might not have been the only bug any of them were carrying? Because looking at stories which have already been told and picking out certain elements of them with which to play, on which to introduce new variations and place a new spin or twist is...like, a thing that writers do?

If Tyler is really Voq, how will they explain why were Saru's threat ganglia not going nuts when ever he was around?

One prevailing theory I've read here and elsewhere is that he was brainwashed or otherwise suppressed and will be activated at the right time,

if true then Tyler genuinely has no reason to do anything except good for the ship and crew, Saru would have nothing to react to.

Would that work on Lorca's Tribble?

Saru was getting false (?) alarms from Burnham early on, and seems to have learned to tamp them down. Klingons are hunters, and hunters must always find ways of not spooking their prey to be effective. Saru was at first being bombarded by noise on Pahvo that scrambled his senses. Saru ultimately did sense that Tyler was being deceptive. Tyler could be a Manchurian Candidate who doesn't even know he's a Klingon agent, and won't until he's activated.

Just a few thoughts.

Would that work on Lorca's Tribble?

I don't know, I wouldn't think so but for an episode or two we didn't see it in Lorca's ready room or whatever it is. This week was the first one I've heard the tribble in his room. I thought they were leaving it out to keep us all guessing.

I've been hesitant to bring it up on our podcast, too intricate but it's a fun conversation.

wait, tyler's a klingon?

jk. you all have seen the twitter account they set up for "real actor" javid iqbal? someone at discovery's production offices is clearly having fun. it's annoying:

Err... stlll...Spoiler warning for the headline...?

I mean... we all know about this stuff... from lots n' lots behind the scenes stuff. But if I were an enthusiased newbie, just checking out this site to talk about this cool new show, I'd be pretty annoyed by huuuge friggin' spoilers in headlines.

It could also be possible that Ash Tyler is indeed human, but House Mokai somehow placed Voq's consciousness in Tyler's brain as the sleeper agent. He could have literally sacrificed his entire physical being and is now possessing Tyler to be revealed in a heartbreaking scene between him and Michael. Like a reverse Nathan/Sylar situation from Heroes.

Oh man, that sounds awful.

It is a spoiler that is pretty hard to avoid. I've seen it on multiple sites.

Well... here only if you check on the threads marked with the big, red "spoiler"-sign. Other, shady, sides on the internet may not care about spoilers. And here we do.

How can it be a spoiler if it hasn't been revealed? It's just speculation at this point.

It is just a theory, that is pretty much confirmed by circumstances at this point. Which makes it a spoiler.

It's like someone behind the scenes telling in an Interview "oh, this-and-this will happen". This is a spoiler to those who haven't read the Interview.

I think it is being reported pretty much everywhere. I don't mind spoiler tagging stuff, but at the same time, if one has made their way to this corner of the internet, they likely have seen pretty much everything there is to see.
