Would Kes and Neelix's relationship lasted if she stayed?

It ended before she left, so I'd have to say no.
"Warlord" (3x10), a confused Kes storyline (Lien's performance was pretty good, besides!) but if I remember well, it wasn't the real Kes who broke up with Neelix but the Ilari named Tearan, who recently deceased in Sickbay while Kes took care of him at this time, and who took advantage of her physical proximity to possess her consciousness and body. And honestly, I can't imagine the sweet and so caring Kes, breaking up with Neelix over lunch! As for Neelix, I can't see him breaking up with Kes because he was smitten with her during their relationship and even after the breaking up, like in "Fury" (6x23). Was he still in love with her or was it just a deep tenderness, which made him keep behaving as a protector?
What I don't understand was once Tieran's consciousness was destroyed and Kes' mind was fully restored, why didn't she explain to Neelix that it wasn't her who broke up with him? Maybe she & Neelix tried to get back together like nothing ever happened, but the heart was gone and she decided to finally break up with him herself. In "Darkling" (3x18), we learnt coincidentally
via the Doctor, that her feelings about Zahir, a pilot , could be a reaction after recently ending her relationship with Neelix, as if the breaking up was a non issue... .
In any case, even if Kes stayed on Voyager, she would more endanger the vessel and its crew than she began to do at the end of "The Gift" (cf to her power of telekinetic, that she controlled less and less and what already started to destabilize at the subatomic level and was causing massive damage to Voyager as a result. I guess that she left the ship not only to explore her new condition but to protect her friends, including Neelix. It was a nice send off... until "Fury", of course!
Neelix was an awful character, ill-suited to Science Fiction. Similar to Phlox. The way they speak! No stentorian tones. No commanding presence. No gravitas!

You know...depicting that relationship as they cope with Kes accelerating through life until she slowly succumbs to dementia, could have been good. It's a situation that would force the characters to develop. Not to mention it could be cathartic and incredibly relevant to a lot of viewers , considering how most people will be exposed to a similar situation as some point.
But it was never going to happen. Because that would require a lot of continuity, ongoing character drama, and a willingness to get heart-rendingly sad. A lot.
Voyager was an episodic adventure series. It simply wasn't the place for it. Especially with the tone so firmly set by Season 3.

It would be like someone marrying their high school sweetheart. It rarely lasts that long. It makes perfect sense that she would break up with him. She met him as a prisoner being mistreated and fearing for her life after living underground and not knowing anything. He represented salvation, adventure, just something new and different. So of course she grabbes on to him. It's possible that if they hadn't joined Voyager she would have stayed with him. But on Voyager she was exposed to different cultures and knowledge and didn't need Neelix the same way as before.
As for Neelix I know he was over protective and seemed jealous but that fits his background as well. He saw her being mistreated and wanted to protect her. He also had no family and was desperate to find something like that which is also probably part of why they were together. Over all though, especially after Kes left, he was a caring thoughtful kind person who would have made a great partner

Well, I don't know if she intended to do it (maybe in the long run if her ex, Lt Comm. Burke, had decided to remain on board, had tried hard to repent and after awhile, why not) but Tom would have kept an open mind on his girlfriend. Besides, when he noticed the connection between B'Elena Burke & Burke, we already saw him is already beginning to see somewhat concerned.
Back to Neelix and Kes, their love story was just enigmatic to me and in many developement, that reminds me what will happen later with Chakotay/Seven.

Too much air, might make her stronger, not superhumanly, just more efficient, but it would also make her seem a little drunk most of the time, yes?
Or would she have shared the spoils with Neelix, so that they both returned to factory specifications?

Tieran hadn't yet taken over Kes' consciousness when the breakup occurred. He was 'inside' her mind, but he hadn't assumed control yet. Maybe he did give Kes the guts to actually do the breakup, but he didn't make her do it.
She had been fed up with Neelix's jealousy before Tiernan took over.

This is what I think too. He was.in her mind but not in control
He was also jealous in Elogium. At the beginning when Tom helps Kes carry her cabbage plants from the aeroponics bay to the mess hall. When they go in opposite directions and say "See you later". Neelix starts pouting then and says something like, "So you're seeing Tom Paris now"? Like he was accusing her of stepping out on him.
I think she was just being observant about where her crew-mates live.
