A Night in Sickbay is so god damn stupid. Not surprised with this being the same guy who wrote such classics as
Threshold,
Sub Rosa and
Genesis, utterly bizarre and goofy episodes that don't have much at all in common with the rest of their respective shows.
I think I can appreciate the intent, it's a major flop though. The "comedy" in this episode falls flat on its face and the character development, if you can even call it that, is painfully awkward, enforcing the stereotype that T'Pol's just there to look pretty (and she's one of my favourite characters on the show!). Porthos gets sick and Archer turns into a ravaging lunatic who can't even keep command of his ship. Thank god for that dog, because if not for it, Archer would probably be back on Earth lying face down in a ditch.
