Well they lasted for 3 years, and got married. If they made it that far, there's a good chance of it happening for life.[\QUOTE]
Sorry to contradict you, Prax, but because of the intervention of Adm Janeway (her travel in the past and her death in a suicide mission), all events seen at the beginning of Endgame and those told by the Admiral herself,
never occurred.
On the other hand, that Captain Janeway & her crew are still in DQ, keeping thinking of a way to go home ; that Tom and B'Elena are waiting impatiently the birth of Miral ; that Chakotay and Seven are beginning to date ; that Tuvok is beginning to suffer of a mental illness ARE a reality BUT neither them or us know how things will turn, once Voyager arrived is in Alpha Quadrant... with the exception of Miral's birth, which intervenes almost at the end of the episode! Producers gave in to our imagination, according to our final wishes.
Result: Several scenarios appear at us : 1) we can stick to the Adm. Janeway's told events (with or without the same chronology) but we still get Chakotay & Seven getting married and Seven dying at the end ; 2) we retain the part where Chakotay and Seven get married but instead of dying, Seven is very alive and pursues her love story with Chakotay forever ; 3) Chakotay and Seven come to their senses quickly after the return, part amicably -
or not - and both follow their own paths, with Chakotay trying AGAIN, to pursue romantically Janeway, meeting this time more success -
or still not - and Seven trying to adapt to her new life surrounded by her friends, mentors and why not trying to date again with a man or a woman.
Everything is possible!
You guys are starting to sound like Quark and Bashir about Dax, hoping her marriage would fail...
Well, because of lack of Janeway's loving attention, Chakotay suddenly turned towards Seven, making her thereby, a consolation prize (even others actors recognized this point!)... . Which love relationship can work in these conditions?
