You know, he might be a murderous psychopath, but Crell Moset is otherwise a very nice guy.I would choose either Dr. Pulaski (unless she was the only physician anywhere available), or Crell Moset.
Colin Baker is totally underrated. I mean I get it, most of his stories were crap, but the man was a fine actor and a great Doctor. No, cuz Colin Baker.

If I can delete the subroutines that enable nursery rhymes and jokes both involving technobabble puns, then I'll be fine with the EMH.
Yes, it is stupid to blame the hologram for the crimes of the real Moset. But more to the point, just because they're using a holographic avatar based on Moset, doesn't mean the information in the database came directly from him, despite what the episode tries to claim. So really, they want to erase the database of useful information just because a holographic avatar offends one of the crew.I find it stupid to create a hologram of someone and then charge that hologram with the crimes the person after which the hologram is made allegedly committed. And if they want to be consistent then they should destroy ALL medical information in the database dating back to our medieval time because a large part of it is due to experiments involving the suffering of animals, nay humans. IOW, I found that episode totally inane.

Nothing Human is such a strange episode. It has great character stuff, but it severely mangles the message it's trying to tell.
The issue of the Cardassian isn't even brought up in the episode. Well, it kind of his, Harry asks "you know this guy's a Cardassian?" The Doctor replies "is that an issue?" Harry answers "they're not the nicest guys around" even though a more pressing issue would be "you know half the crew, including your patient, used to belong to a terrorist organization dedicated to fighting these guys, right?"Also it really looked like he could have chosen any likeness for the hologram, so why would he choose a cardassian, of all people, knowing the general hostility of the maquis toward them,? At the very least that was a really tupid move on the doctor's part. Imagine a surgeon who'd put on a mask of hitler to talk to his patients. You'd have to wonder about the guy. It's like the writers had no idea how to create the dilemma they wanted the episode to revolve around so they decided to go this unspoken clumsy way.

But yeah, if they had used a holographic avatar based on a Tellarite, Andorian, Ferengi or even a Romulan and there'd be no issue. No one would have been offended, and B'Ellanna's life would be saved with no issues.
But while we're discussing the episode, I also never understood the Bajoran guy who gets so offended over the Moset hologram he tries to resign. He's so bothered by the hologram that he's willing to spend the rest of his life in the Delta Quadrant?

The EMH. I don't like his attitude.
Yeah, they are all technically qualified, but I have to say I agree with Laser Beam. While I liked the character, the EMH was a Grade A prick. He had the worst bedside manner and was the biggest and most arrogant dick of them all. Ironic, since he probably is the best at being a doctor, but Zimmerman's assholishness just shines through a little too much. They all seem qualified. So I wouldn't walk out on any of them.![]()

All things considered, I'd rather be treated by Zimmerman's talking iguana.Yeah, they are all technically qualified, but I have to say I agree with Laser Beam. Well, yeah, if you have a sucking chest wound, sure it's not the time to be picky.I'm just concerned about their ability to heal. I always saw bedside manner as overrated when dealing with doctors. Most I've dealt with in my life, are far more like the EMH than any of the others.
If I could chose what doctor I wanted to be treated by, I would have to say Bones. All things considered, I'd rather be treated by Zimmerman's talking iguana.

In "Latent Image" everyone should have slapped the shit out of the EMH. Apparently he thinks he's the only doctor who ever lost a patient.![]()
And sure, maybe the EMH did, however inadvertently, allow his friendship with Harry to guide the decision on who to treat. Well, so what? The facts are these:
- Harry and Jetal had equally serious injuries
- Both had an equal chance of survival
- There was only time to treat one of them
- If the EMH waits too long, both will die
Given these, something has to help guide the EMH. Anything. I don't care what. Just let him make up his damn mind already.
I mean, even Jetal would not have wanted both of them to die just because the doctor was trying to make himself look objective (which no doctor ever can be). If the EMH decided to treat his friend...well, that means one person lives. Logically speaking, better that only one person dies rather than BOTH.
