'Is there anything else you'd like to confess?' I've always loved that "Voyage of the Damned' comment. I remember laughing at that on the original airing.
I wonder why Tuvok didn't suggest that Neelix accompany her on that planet... Although, it does explain why Tuvok insisted only a few episodes later that he go live inside that asteroid.
This certainly wasn't a gut buster, but I was amused by this line from The Cloud- Neelix: This ship could outmatch any vessel within a 100 light years and what do they do with it? (mocks) Well, uh, let's find some space anomaly today that might rip it apart!"
When the Doctor, pretending to be B'Elanna calls him sweetheart. You can tell that's not a word he's ever heard her use for him. Hence the, "You're certainly getting affectionate in your third trimester". In Author, Author, when the Doctor sees that Tom has hi-jacked his holoprogram for revenge. Also in that episode, B'Elanna's reaction to Lt. Marseille's moustache.
Me too! This was the episode where I really started to like The Doctor, much because this conversation. Before that, I did find the whole "living hologram" a bit over the top and even if I did like The Doctor since "Caretaker", I stll had some doubts. But this episode made me realize that he was funny with his sarcastic comments too. And I also like the comment "Get the cheese to sickbay". A classic!
The part when the doc is arguing with the opera singer and then when he reports the incident to Kes. That was funny.
Episode Prototype Chakotay is the last one who should talk here...shuttle wrecker Paris: "I don't need a diversion. Just give me a chance, I'll get her out." Chakotay: "You don't mind if the rest of us give you a little help, do you, Paris? I'd hate to lose another shuttlecraft." Paris: "Your concern for my welfare is heart-warming."
Ironic, considering his later nihilophobia. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Nihilphobia Not so lovely anymore, is it, Neelix? Thankfully, Tuvok didn't sing it to him like a total jerk.
Fair Haven: Scene 1: Janeway/Paris/EMH in Sickbay EMH: Speaking of revisions, I was hoping I could give my character a more active role. In the period you've created, the village priest was the most prominent member of the community, held in the highest regard. PARIS: That's a great idea, Doc. We could send Father Mulligan on a retreat to a nearby monastery, where he takes a vow of silence and never speaks again. (Janeway grasps Tom's arm and pull him outside) EMH: Try it, and you'll be saying Hail Marys till Saint Patrick's Day. Scene 2: Tuvo/Seven/Tom and Kim in the Mess Hall: (While Tuvok seems not to be well) PARIS: Imagine yourself sitting high on a bluff overlooking the ocean. The salt air, The rhythm of the waves rising and crashing against the rocks. A tiny fishing boat bobbing on the water below. Up and down, up and down. TUVOK: I get the idea, Ensign. Thank you. NEELIX: Mutton, creamed cabbage or blood pudding? SEVEN: Explain. NEELIX: I'm preparing a traditional Irish meal at the Ox and Lamb this afternoon, and I can not decide on a main course. PARIS: Blood pudding. You can't lose. NEELIX: That was my first choice, too, but replicating the lamb's intestines, it, it could be tricky, And every time I try to heat the blood, it coagulates in the milk. TUVOK: If you'll excuse me, I think I will consult the Doctor. (source: http://www.chakoteya.net/Voyager/610.htm)
The Captain getting Tom out of there, makes me think she's a mom getting her naughty little boy away before he can say anything else insulting.
Speaking of McNeil's delivery. I found this amusing in this episode as well (In the Flesh) KIM: Polite stage? The last 8472 I met tried to dissolve me from the inside out. PARIS: It was only trying to get to know you better, Harry.
